Sure seems like there is a lot of attention being paid to shark attacks lately.
Will this be the next excuse to take away some more freedoms?

Well it is Shark Week. So I've been told.

Why would it? That’s a fucking sign in Australia.

Gotta love the "no xxx" list at some of these places.

No swimming at a beach? Sounds like a barrel of fun. How long before they don't let you lay in the sun, or require sun screen.

I can understand extra signage during "shark week" or whatever, when they are more likely to attack. But who cares if someone wants to risk it?

They are closing the beaches completely. Many times over just a shark sighting.
It's more than a swimming restriction.

Next, they'll close Yellowstone, 'cause bears :homer:

I think some person in Maine got eaten.

Yep, you won't see me any deeper than my ankles in any body of water. :flipoff2:

Ah, the govt doing it's job, issue a warning with explanation and use at you own risk...I also think if you take the risk and have a problem, you should pay for the cost of rescue and medical...that's if you survive
