Security cameras…

Demon

It leaves a residue.

I’m assuming one should avoid the lens… would putting this around the body provide enough discouragement ?
My dad applies it to the entire soffit, but not the actual camera. He swears by it for roaches, spiders, and everything else.

It’s too aggressive for my taste (I’m not big on pesticides… but that’s my issues).
But you will need something with a punch.

If there is a way to keep the bugs away from the IR light I’d like to know too.

I had issues with birds perching on the solar panels and shitting all over them, so I put spikes on them 😈

(I haven’t done panel maintenance this month :emb: )

It’s weird/frustrating getting an alert of “a person” on my deck when I’m trying to fall asleep… only to find out it’s a spider web.

I’ve had what were most likely bats trigger our driveway camera a few times (blurry something suddenly appears then is gone). I usually only run the motion sensor on that camera because it’s the most likely approach a dirtbag may take not knowing the area. I’m currently running another one trying to see if the skunks are still around. So far I’m just seeing the feral cat.

I mist mine with Bifenthrin XTS once a month / every 6 weeks. Haven't had any more problems. Mine are under cover, if you have one out in the weather and get a lot of rain you might have to do it a little more often. Doesn't take much.

Try not to get it on the lens. If you do, wait for it to dry, and wipe it off. No big deal.

Once again, the feral cat. We don’t leave out any food or water except for hummingbird feeder’s on the back deck. I don’t know what’s attracting it to our place, but if it’s scaring off the skunks it’s fine with me.

My reolink stuff does a decent job of filtering cars, people, or animals into their respective categories and you chose alerts for any.

Earlier, my “Rover” camera sent us an alert. When I checked it, all I could see was grass. Something knocked the camera over 😯.

When I went to investigate Mrs asked if I was armed. I told her I was ( almost always after dark).

I swept the inner perimeter and found nothing, not even eyes looking back from a distance.

I’m thinking it was the feral cat checking out the camera.
