SEAL who killed bin Laden got cancelled

Well. Some tall hodgie died in Pakistan that day.

And yet, patriot act and war on terror continues
Oh not a doubt in my mind someone died, not questioning that a bit. As you said, means to an end. I just refuse to believe that we couldn't find an abnormally tall arab hooked to a dialyses machine.

Well, we had to go to a friendly 3rd country and kill him without permission.

Crazy to think "what if" the talisman had just said "sure, you can look for him and we will mostly cooperate" could've saved them 20 years and earned them significant income

His Shawn Ryan interview was entertaining. Ive heard that there is some controversy as to whether or not he actually is the one that killed bin laden.
He shot the dead body of OBL instead of making the kill shot, allegedly.

Unless you are a navy seal
Chris Kyle (RIP) wouldn’t shut up about it.

The much more stoic Marcus Luttrell even had a movie made on it.

The POS Dan Crenshaw used it to become the establishment Republican Cuck he is.

For a SEAL team member he sure seems to run his mouth. I've only known two and they were tight lipped, I'm sure I've worked with others but didn't know.

That. My cousin was a seal. Prior to getting a transfer into BUDS he was in the Navy on an aircraft carrier working on elevators. I've heard a million stories about his carrier days and zero about what he did after that.

Story of my life, oh wait, what? He's a Butte boy? I didn't know that. I guess it makes him trouble by default.

Yeah, when he graduated BUDS there was an article in the paper about him. I remember it because I was in HS and thought I wanted to be a seal at the time.

Going back to silent profession thing I dont think that's the been the case since the 90s. It makes sense, you come out of any kind of decent spec ops career with two things stories and a skill set that doesn't directly translate to a civilian role. If your halfway likable you can tell stories and the American public definitely loves hearing about the exploits of our baddest of the bad which beats working your ass off doing manual labor.

From what I understand, and this is all based on like 5th hand info so who knows, there's been a big split in the SF community ever since Chris Kyle about whether or not it's ok to talk about/monetize their service stories that's gotten worse in recent years after a number of books by ex-SF members have been published.

IIRC he was put into the limelight just like the Seal Team 6 guys that shot the pirates. They didn't want that credit but got it. O'Neill was on that mission as a team leader and jump master.

Obama needed something to push numbers up so they interviewed him and introduced him to the world, some messed up stuff.
