Scrap

Nobody will ship anything to you, No hot women, impossible for EMS to find your house, no sorta hot women, gotta work 136hrs a week to afford a 1 room shack if you split it with a roommate. no women with cooking skills, Scrap has no value......And thats just what I have learned from this past week. I'm sure theres more to complain about:flipoff2:

tossing in dumpster and paying to have it hauled off! Is better than $80/ton....

Shaking head..

I smoke weed and eat edibles and do concentrates... and stilll...

Doesn't make any sense.., from a business to common. Does it?

Any carbide scrappers ? I bought a locked Kennedy machinist box at a local auction and turned out the weight that I was attributing to shitty old hand tools was a bunch of carbide. I’ve already sold most of the good cutting tools and I’m left with roughly 150lbs of scrap and would like to move it. Anybody have luck with online scrap buyers?

During covid, one of the tool companies had a deal where they would send you a prepaid box for carbide. They were giving 7$ a pound. I think it was Seco or kennemetal.

Yeah, but you can walk out the back door and fuck any moose you want and nobody is gonna say a damn thing.

Holy shit son! Bare or insulated?

We have a scrap yard on the top of the mountain that we deal with. They are set up in an old bar, my kind of place.

Still on the spools, copper/copper URD up to 1000 size. It all goes in a dumpster and it’s $.12/lb to process and they pay a premium for finished product

I'll buy that shit for 1.5x scrap value and use it until there's not a single good flute left on anything. :flipoff2::laughing:

Check with companies that do re-sharpening. Any idea what you would want for it?

did you ever buy that wire stripper?
No, we generate enough that I doubt we could keep up without hiring guys to go full time. Unspool in a dumpster and they drop one/grab full one. 220k ish so far from AL and Al/copper while hoarding the copper/Copper for the price to come around

Ever thought about ordering a little less wire?

Apparently only read half..
dumpster costs the same whether it's full or empty. It's emptied weekly.
It was $80 a ton 6 or 7 years ago. $0 now at best. Some places even charge to take it.

I found a local recycling facility that told my they‘re getting $7.45 a pound as scrap but he wants to register me as a vendor and I’m not interested in all that unless I have to. I guess I can list the good usable stuff for sale here to help recoup some of the cost of the toolbox I paid too much for..

yeah just a peek there and most of it is looking better than what I'm using

even the snapped off ones can be claened up pretty easy with a masonry cutoff wheel, long as you don't need end-cutting
