The dreaded double "b" pillar..... not a fan but it is 100% needed to make this old cage safe to race. Pillaged a couple of tubes from the old sperminator cage and they look like they will work well .We will add a couple of roof supports and some diagonal door backs to tie things together. Also a sneak peak at the hopeful ride height.
tuber Tom, Jason and Darien threw a bunch more tubes at the old cage. For sure it would have been easier to start over but we wanted to keep as much of the old as we could, Door bars, farmington bar, and a couple of roof supports are now tacked in. There is a lot going on and it looks way too busy but they all have a purpose, and I have a history of landing on my lid more than most.
Tom knocked it out of the park again. Main cage is about wrapped up. On to the dash, fuel cell mount, and finish up the engine cage and radiator mount.
Lots of good decisions last night at RSW. upper radiator mount is coming together, trimming up and reusing the old inner fenders for the rear, fuel cell mount complete, and of course another list of goodies that need to be purchased. Anyone got a contact at Coors? I think we need to work on a sponsorship program.
