Disclaimer: this shit will make you fat ( and drunk). you've been warned.
Sceep's Hot Buttered Rum Mix (SHBRM)
Makes 10 cups of mix
1lb butter (softened)
1lb brown sugar
1lb powdered sugar
2tsp cinnamon
2tsp nutmeg
1qt vanilla bean ice cream
(5) 2 cup Tupperware containers
blend butter and sugars
add remaining ingredients
blend till smooth(ish)
fill Tupperware, apply lids
freeze
note: keep FROZEN until use.
to mix:
add spiced rum, HOT water, and SHBRM to taste.
I prefer a 60/40 mix of rum and water, and about 2 heaping tablespoons of SHBRM.
we usually make 2 batches a year, and give 3/4's of it away to friends and family. include the recipe on a little index card so they can make it as they need.
