The San Jose flea market was a epic adventure when I was a kid. This market in Thailand reminds me of it, I'm going to enjoy it. They also have a 41 acre auto dismantlers section.
He talks a little about all the carbon fiber and TI exhaust work, they make carbon fiber for everything. I'd be happy to see see the process in person.

When are you going?
 
The Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok is wild and worth a visit, an entire day probably isn't enough. I don't remember any auto parts though. I think I scored a "Rolex" or two there and some designer purses for the wife :laughing:

I used to work for a company that made carbon fiber products. When they outsourced production, the engineers toured companies across China and southeast asia. They saw everything from high tech modern facilities to people in sandals squatting on dirt floors laying resin from a bucket with a paintbrush.
