What's new

San Fran for a day, what to do?

Did anyone say poop on the sidewalk in front of an expensive restaurant yet?

Alcatraz WOULD have been cool if I could have explored. Tried to and some park Ranger rick freaked out like I commuted a felony

There's an official tour route, mostly through the main building.

They had earphone deals they issued out and it was a tour guy. Mine quit working like 5 mins in so just walked around bored as shit

No idea if it's still like that, thus was Feb 2007.

Oh, wasn't many people. They looked at us like WTF... in T Shirts cause it was in the 50s and -20* at home while the townspeople where damn near in parkas :lmao:

People freeze their asses off in the SF Bay area in the summer. :lmao:

me and some friends in high school skipped school and ended up at Alcatraz tripping on acid ……this was back in the late 80’s and the tour guides didn’t give a fawk what we did :lmao:

That's cool. Any ghosts?

We were there for 3 days in June. This tour will hit most of the cool stuff: https://www.viator.com/tours/San-Francisco/Alcatraz-and-City-Tour/d651-30758P7

The cable car museum is cool to see the inner-working of it all.

The best breakfast we had was at Art's Diner by Golden Gate Park, and the best dinner was by far at House of Nanking, Fisherman's Wharf was meh.

We used public transportation the whole time and had no issues getting around, and only one time did I feel the need to put myself between a hobo and my GF while walking around, I'm in Austin daily for work and San Francisco was way cleaner and felt way safer.

Would be hilarious if they had winter there. Would need V bar chains to drive around. We were 4 dudes in a Malibu and about had to push on some of the hills. Got high centered going into a parking garage.
And that car was pretty tall.

People seemed to have zero shame there. Saw a dude pooping by the street and a couple gays making out.. like WTF.
I'm sure only has gotten worse, this was 2010. Was in Marysville for 3 weeks for work and we drove town.
I think I said 2007, got mixed up with being in Houston for a few months.
Fuck that place too.
Had lot lizards advertising their services at the IHop at 0600.. like 10 of us all in uniform. Plus who is paying to get with a 300lb :mr-t: with like 4" long fingers nails :barf::barf::barf::barf:
