What's new

San Antonio Peeps

i drove up in April. i saw some areas were getting redid.

its miles better than in 2013 when i drive to Bentonville through there at night. sucked ass

Take a ride on I20 through Shreveport if you want to see a highway that sucks ass. That shit will ruin a cars suspension in one round trip. It's so fucking horrible I used to fear for my service truck driving through there and I don't even own the thing.

If you need anything near Wichita, let me know.

Oh, and there is no issue with Wichita traffic if you stick to the Turnpike. Easy 85 MPH all the way.

Fuck OK/KS Backroads.

Plan is to fly to SA on Monday and pick up the truck at the auction. I'll drive it back to my house Monday night, sleep here and then head to Bum Fuck Kansas on Tuesday morning. If all goes well and I don't get scooter2374'ed on the way there:lmao: I should arrive in Kansas Tuesday late afternoon.
You wrang?:flipoff2: been more than four years since that booger trip. I still rave about that experience all the damn time and get side-eye from every person I tell.:smokin::smokin::smokin::smokin::smokin:

And were off, sort of......

Flight to SA was delayed a few hours so I'm still waiting to board.

Just left the auction in the truck and I'm already Scootered. Severe death wobble, shit tires and you can't put gas in the fucking thing because the hose is all kinked up. :mad3:

FUCK
Damn, wish I could've been there with you. Stupid work being all stupid and such.

Sounds like a good time :smokin:

Cut the hose and run a new one under the fender?

Death wobble thinking joints or tires? My poor car I just got had a ln issue that was 100% due to wrong lug nuts and shit tires combining their powers

Tires and front end. Truck lived it's life offroad on a ranch and near salt water to boot would be my guess based on what I'm seeing.

Next fuel stop I'm going to have to get the filler hose off and try that way.

Because today hasn't sucked enough.....

Got on the highway and made it 12 miles and now I'm stopped. :mad3:

That’s normal over there.

Find a block of wood on the freeway, park the left rear tire on it at the pump, somewhat common for the flatbed trucks to have the fill a little low.

Consider cutting the vent hose, maybe in a way that it could be folded over and wedged somewhere when done

Does it have 2 tanks?

Idk about that year in particular, but iirc the earlier gmt900s would pump fuel from one tank into the other, then that tank had the high pressure pump. Not sure if that helps

Made it back to the house. On the way back I stopped at TRINDU's place and he loaned me the tools I needed to fix the filler issue. We also discovered it has 2 tanks so I filled the rear tank up and that seemed to work ok. Still slow but at least it didn't spit fuel across the parking lot like it did the first time. It made it from San Antonio back to my house rather uneventfully after that pit stop. I can't thank TRINDU enough for helping a brother out and for the use of his tools and time. I love this place!

Once I wake up tomorrow I'll figure out the rest of the trip but for now I'm going to fucking bed, I'm beat!!!!

Picture of GM junk parked in my driveway.....
