Wtf exactly is this heat exchange unit doing in that old winnebago?

It is fed from the h2o heater.
Has return air from the cabin to the cabin heater.
And is stashed under the bed without a direct vent for neither intake nor heat dissipation.

It's late and dark so investing is not happening :flipoff2:

U sure its not fed with engine coolant. Looks like a rear heater for the cabin for when going down the road.

Gunna chase the lines, thanks, thats definitely a good possibility.

I replied to the other thread in OSR.

My 2005 Winnebago had one. It's a heater for the bedroom while traveling. It should be plumbed from the engine radiator through the water heater for hot water while traveling and upon arrival, then to the exchanger, then back to the radiator. Mine had a wall switch to turn the fan on or off, but it always had coolant flowing through it. Warms the bed up from underneath, which is great if it's cold, but on a warm night not so much. The coolant lines ran through the driver side rear tire well on mine, so I plumbed in a bypass that I could easily reach.

Also heats the water heater when going down the road, pretty neat system.
