I think for the money I'd rather have 16 fancy RPGs.

Looks like a sure way to get a visit from a letter agency.

I see that we're thinking Russia is going to do ALCM things from cargo planes soon.
That should be interesting.

On a scale of one to ten.......globally.
And this was self-inflicted.

This is the shit that I posted about earlier in this thread…

It’s going to suck, and push more countries over to BRICS

Unpopular opinion time:

If we can't sanction oil producing countries out of fear that they will ruin the global economy, then that pretty much gives them carte blanche to do whatever they want with no repercussions.

Now, whether or not Russia deserves the sanctions we're imposing is a whole other question, but we can't say we shouldn't sanction based solely on the premise that it's bad for the economy otherwise that will embolden places like Saudi Arabia, and those shady canadian fawkers, (oh yeah, and us too) to do whatever they want with no fear of reprisals for it.

sounds like we need a one-world government... problem solved. :flipoff2:

Bliken want to send more money to Ukraine to fix the energy grid. LOL so Russia can destroy that also. Yes lets toss more money into that mess instead of fixing ours.

The U.S. will provide more than $50 million for Ukrainian electricity equipment, Mr. Blinken said this week. The Biden administration has asked Congress for $1.1 billion to support the energy sector in Ukraine and neighboring Moldova, which has been affected by attacks on the Ukrainian power grid.

Is this like a "sorry we are playing out our cold war boomer Russia vs USA proxy war and slaughtering your people and country in the process, so here are some power lines, and no we won't try to de-escalate this" virtue signaling feel good measure?

Oh and BTW use this contractor that's connected to all the people that kicked this whole mess off.

NATO is still saying they want to let Ukraine join.

That's the cause of this whole mess to begin with. Fucking idiots don't want this to ever end. If NATO said that Ukraine will never be a part of NATO, the Russians would probably go home tomorrow.

NATO commits to future Ukraine membership, drums up aid

BUCHAREST, Romania — NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg reaffirmed the military alliance’s commitment to Ukraine on Tuesday, saying that the war-torn nation will one day become a member of the world’s largest security organization.

Stoltenberg’s remarks came as Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his NATO counterparts gathered in Romania to drum up urgently needed support for Ukraine aimed at ensuring that Moscow fails to defeat Ukraine as it bombards energy infrastructure.

“NATO’s door is open,” Stoltenberg said. “Russia does not have a veto” on countries joining, he said in reference to the recent entry of North Macedonia and Montenegro into the security alliance. He said that Russian President Vladimir Putin “will get Finland and Sweden as NATO members” soon. The Nordic neighbors applied for membership in April, concerned that Russia might target them next.

USA: I don't like what you're doing so to teach you a lesson I'm going to punch myself in the face.

How about we try something that does not hurt us?

Oh lets see....being independent of others? Energy for example.
We're number 1 in the world in oil production. So we're producing a lot as it is, we just use more than we produce.

Simplest way to fix that would be to figure out a way to only use as much as we produce.

Otherwise, we need to figure out how to produce more, but when you do that, you're opening pandora's box, because at some point we will hit a wall in how much total oil we can produce. The population is always going to go up and demand for oil on our present course is always going to go up.

Funny, 2 years ago we didn't have an issue with oil. What changed?

And no, I do not believe we are no.1 in producing oil or refining it. We were, but not today. I'm not sure we're even no.1 in consumption.

Remember, in the 70's we only had 10 years left of oil :lmao:
