Russia claiming Sputik once again: Covid vaccine being produced

Calling it a world first, President Putin said the vaccine, developed by Moscow's Gamaleya Institute, offered "sustainable immunity" against the coronavirus.

He said he knew the vaccine was "quite effective", without giving further details, and stressed that it had passed "all needed checks".
 
The fastest a successful vaccine was produced was for Mumps and that took 4 years, but Russia with their vacuum tubes and consulting from the Legend did it in under 6 months? And Putin had it administered to one of his daughters? Riiiiiight.
 
Russia probly just stopped labeling deaths as "covid deaths" :laughing:

That was in the sixties. We're slightly better at sequencing and editing DNA than we were back then. We had this virus sequenced and were ready to start testing vaccines months ago.

Russia just fast tracked the testing. I've been saying the vaccine would be fast tracked since like March. Seems pretty obvious, given the mortality rate of COVID-19.

I dont doubt they have it. Supposedly a couple of US firms have one developed it just hasnt passed testing. The Russians dont fuck around. They just took a couple thousand "prisoners" gave them the vaccine waited to see if it killed them then exposed them to the virus. If the vast majority survived they called it successful.

Not the US we have to do all kinds of animal testing first. Then double check then do clinical trials. Then recheck and then who knows what.

The diseases he posted have been studied for countless years and we haven’t seem to be able to find a cure. But a virus pops up a few months ago and a cure is found already?

Does this make the slightest bit of sense to you?

"Unintended"? Everybody knows a fast tracked vaccine will have a higher risk than one with years of testing. It's what we call a calculated risk. Nothing unintended about it.

COVID-19 vaccines may well be similar to seasonal flu vaccines, or not. We don't know much of anything about its mutation rate yet. But the only reason flu vaccines aren't totally effective is that flu viruses mutate every year, and sometimes we don't get all the new strains into the vaccine that goes to market. For all we know, COVID-19 vaccines could prove to be as effective as smallpox.

Important distinction: There are treatments for the above things, which is something Trump is rightfully harping on, because that's what his Med experts are talking about.

There are many, many, many treatments for CVD, including lifestyle, stents, statins, artery balloons, etc.

Cancer shouldn't even have been listed lol. Many cancers have been turned upside down from 90/10 to 10/90 kill/live ratio.

Road accidents are by far the easiest for this board:



HIV is lifetime treatable as pointed out.

Suicide is increasing, this is not specifically a disease, it is a pathological behavior.

I've only provided a smidgen of examples, this was an awful list to cite Slander :lmao:

It's a fucking virus. We know a great deal about viruses. We have vaccines for many viruses. We have vaccines for very similar viruses. We have been studying corona viruses for decades. We knew how to make a vaccine months ago.

Comparing a virus to cancer is moronic at best.

The mortality rates equal or exceed Covid. The economy wasn't shut down for any of them. Your stupid knows no boundaries.

Considering genetically Covid19 or SARs2 is genetically similar to SARs which they do have treatment for I wouldnt be too surprised at them developing a vaccine for it. There not starti g from scratch. Millions of dollars was spent on SARs research already so theyre picking up where it left off.

Not to mention the common cold is caused by at least one type of corona virus. This is not new shit, in general terms.
