Ruger Single Six

My Dad bought this in 1956 at the age of 13. This was the second gun I'd ever shot, I've shot hundreds of rabbits with it.
Anyway, when he got his second divorce I told him I wanted the pistol, that it was the only thing of his I was interested in. I've had it for 30 yrs or so, last year he moved from Calif. to Alabama, apparently he found this paperwork and sent it to me in a Christmas card.
I like seeing old literature like this, enjoy.

My wife has a new model from '18. It has the plastic grips and better sights but... I'm used to operating mine and her's just seems unnatural to me.

I hope that I can get another un modified old model someday.

I have a new model I got from my stepdad. Out of all the guns he gave me, it’s the next to newest one (1976). The wood grips are chipped off in the front bottom corners, but it’s a shooter. I like the adjustable rear sight.
It came to me with a holster, not a box or papers.
