I am currently working through my 2nd round of the Rona and I wanted to see if there are any others. This is a pretty diverse group to pull from.

My History:
The wife and I both tested positive over Thanksgiving 2020. The symptoms were mostly mild and inline with what is expected - low fever, extreme fatigue, mild breathing issues, chest soreness. Those were for me, the wife just had fatigue. The fatigue lasted well into January but we did finally fully recover. We both tested negative in mid January using the PCR test.

The 2nd round hit me around Monday of last week. It was mild at first, so I waited to get tested until Friday when it progressed. Came back positive. Wife tested later and she was negative. My symptoms are similar to last time, but they took longer to present at a more acute level Fever has been low and steady since last Thursday. Wife has had very minor fatigue and could be unrelated.

With 4 months between infections, everything points to a new and separate instance. My doctor has not seen any confirmed 2nd infections but the HR department at work claims that they have seen a fair share - would not give details.

AZ mask mandate was lifted after I was infected so masks most of the time out of respect for the business's need to stay open. We both go to work daily. We don't congregate in large groups or attend large events as part of our normal activities. Just typical eating out.

I don't have any known pre-existing conditions that would make me more susceptible but I can say that if a cold or flu go around, I usually get it. I was planning on getting the Antibody test to check my levels but then this hit. I don't currently have access to any other test, like T-cell level, according to my doctor.

Recent Denmark study puts reinfection rate at a very low number for under 65.

So anyone have a 2nd infection? Anyone get vaccinated and get infected?

Washington state posted some stats of 100 folks who got the Rona after the shot. @nd round isn't uncommon, lots of different variants floating around.

My daughters boyfriend had it but was asymptomatic before Christmas, then they both got it 2 weeks ago and he had mild symptoms this time but was mostly over it after 3 days. My daughter felt crappy from it for over a week but is over it now. Still hasn't got me knock on wood and I've mostly doing what I want other than wearing stupid masks that I make businesses that have them give me for the most part.

Edit to add: They were tested several times each over the last year, what I mention above were when they had positive for the virus results.

Well....son in law and myself last year.

I have read where it's never been isolated

I have read where there is no proof of reinfection.

If it is a rna virus.....re infection is always an option....

So. Wear three paper masks....and pretend like a good little monkey.....you filthy peasants will obey. If we have to kill you all....so be it.

So how do they test for this? Theyre putting pieces of the virus in you and your body develops antibodies. So how do they know your infected again or not when the quick test will show positive after the vaccine?

Got the shit in December 19, everyone in the house hammered with it. Grand baby diagnosed with "unknown respiratory viral infection". Everyone tested negative for the flu, everyone had fevers, fatigue for a week or so. After that, nothing. Have worn a mask only a handful of times, still go out everywhere, no vaccine, don't wash hands any more than before. Tests didn't exist in Dec 19, but was tested in October 20 before a surgery and tested negative. Will have another test next month for another surgery, and will probably test negative then as well.

That's a good question. All I know is at least 100 people tested positive more than two weeks after getting the shot. That's out millions of vacinated people in WA, so a pretty small percentage. It could have been bogus test results also.

January 20 it went through my house.

S/O was so bad she went to the DR's (first time in many years) and was told, and I direct quote "unknown respiratory viral infection""

She was down for about a month.

I had it for a few days and it went away.

We also never wear a mask.

We do try to stay distant from people but we have been doing that before it was the thing to do.

Wondering if you have any ideas how you have caught it 2x now?

Do you wear a mask all day for work?

I am curious if you have any theories on how you all caught it 2x now.

Yeah, we have always pretty much tried to stay away from people. I never understood the people standing in lines nut to butt all the time.

I would love to know how I caught it. In either case, I was not knowingly around anyone who tested positive. We have worn face coverings (balaclava) whenever required which is at work and at most stores. If I assume that gestation was 3-5 days then the first time was after getting an endoscopy, no requirement to test before hand. The 2nd time was either a restaurant or gun shop. The wife showed symptoms/tested positive 5 days after me in the first case.

I had to google search your "balaclava" as I had no idea what that was.

This is the first result

I gotta say, you roll hard.

I couldn't pull that one off.

Better than the nose masks Mexico was trying to push. Looked like stupid cats

Was it the first test or the second test that was a false positive?

yep...thats a balaclava. Was that really what you were wearing OP? Because if so, it could be the nose and mouth hole that was the weak point in your system.

Had a sore throat Thursday then went on a long MTB ride after work and I’ve had bronchitis/fever since then. Probably COVID positive but that is pretty vague... I’d never test for it.

There are balaclavas that cover the neck holes as well.

It Washington State. So if you look like you may be sick they swab your nose and magically you have covid. Not a single person died in Washington state last year from the flu and many MVC’s caused covid deaths in my state as well. Super weird shit...:flipoff2:

@OP. I remeber listening to virologist when this first came out and they all said since its a corona virus your antibodies will probably last under 6 months... the covid shot is good for somewhere between 3-9 months as well. Draw your own conclusions...
