I've had what I thought was a sinus infection since last Saturday. Naturally my wife and son started showing the same symptoms (cough, congestion).

Today my son mentions that he cannot smell or taste anything. I sniff my jar of weed:smokin:. Nope, nothing...

Can still taste though.

Other than that and some sniffles we all feel fine.

We are going to get tested this afternoon.

Fever?

Tis the season, Probably a cold virus. The rona is not a death sentence so don't freak out. Good luck with the tests as I'm sure they be at least 50% wrong.

Yeah, other than my mom freaking out (brother actually passed from it this spring) i'm not worried. The timing sucks more than anything.

Had a local contractor on a job who lost his sense of taste/smell but otherwise felt fine. He tested positive so the job site shut down. Everyone else tested negative. No masks or social distancing on the job site but it is mostly outdoor work excluding the hour long drive. Good luck.

A 42 rear old friend in good health got the virus and was brutal sick for a week.....70 year old relative who's overweight and an insulin shooter type 2 diabetic tested positive a few weeks ago and no sickness.....Just never know for sure with this virus...

Dibs on your shit:flipoff2:

Gold luck. Enjoy your 2 weeks off.

My buddy had a fever of 99, lasted like 3 hours. His secretary/office manager is freaked Out from the rona. So he offered to stay home for 2 weeks. Just to be safe. He “worked” from home and rented a small excavator and bulldozer and landscaped his new house.

Nobody says the virus is fake you fucktard. The reaction to it is hugely overblown though for gawdammed sure.

I had it, no smell, no taste for a few days a bit of a fever and a cough too. The worst thing was the upper chest pain when inhaling deeply but that was only about a week too. All told it was under 10 days start to finish.

I'm working from home anyway. No time off here

I'm a week in...looking forward to feeling fine in a couple days.

I remember your thread about your brother from the other place. Hope you all start feeling better!

The first wave of this was seemingly far worse. Rand Paul might have been onto something when he said herd immunity might actually be what saved us this summer. Obviously this fall/winter is going to be bad with flu, pneumonia, strep, bronchitis, and every other crap virus that kills us every year. 2020...is it over yet?

Why? So you can add to the conflated statistics? Chances are you'd test positive even without a single symptom.

I know multiple people who waited in line to get tested, filled out the paperwork, got tired of waiting so never got tested. A week later their results came in the mail, positive. The results are bullshit.

I think we know way more about how to treat this now also. Probably paying a big part.

Dibs on your stuff. Not for when you croak, but when you end up making it on a list to be loaded up into a cattle car.

Talk about a straw man. There are zero people saying its fake. All the logical people are saying its not worth destroying our society for.

LoL there aren't a lot of logical people here then :)

I dunno, the prevailing theory I've heard on irate is (INHALE) that everyone will get it eventually and it wont be that bad for most, so if you're at risk, you have the right to lock yourself up and stay out of the way, but don't force anyone else to do it, unless it's thanksgiving, during which time you MUST celebrate with your family at risk or no, or you are a giant asshole and a pussy at the same time. (EXHALE)

Be prepared - they've said if it's going to get bad, days 7-10 are generally the worst. Get past those without much trouble and it should be easy sailing.

Sucks eating cardboard. Our taste has slowly returned. My appetite hasn’t. Probably a good thing.:grinpimp:

Get to feeling better thoughts sent.

I probably wouldn't bother with the test. It won't change your feeling bad, and as long as symptoms are minimal, and you guys are hanging out at home, shouldn't really make any difference, yes?

I have mixed feelings, but considering we are planning turkey day with my elderly mother it's probably better safe than sorry.

Ahhhh....well, that makes sense, then.

LoL intentionally so...catching fish left/right/center. Hooked you easier than a crack whore on the street corner.

If me telling you to fuck off is entertainment to you, you need to get out of the basement and get a life.
