For the price of a dime I can always turn to you.
Yes, and 2 seconds on google will find you many, many codes. Are all rock auto codes 5%?
Maybe???Has anyone ever seen a code that was more than 5% from them?
Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....I just ordered a radiator and completely forgot about my discount code. Doh.
the "how did you hear about us" field on checkout.I have an order in my cart on there right now. I don't see anywhere to put a discount code in?
Shipping and returns generally get me to go else where. Have you tried the Parts Counter here?Got a code and a cart full of parts, its the shipping method thats killing it for me. dhl wants a serious premium, and the other choice isnt a option.
Its amazing to me, that people do business with companies that completely suck. DHL is IMO the very best shipping co in the world, and fed ex is the worst. I will never consciously do bizz with fed ex. Same as buying anything from china, i actively work on not buying stuff from there. Fact is, some stuff you have no choice, like gaming headphones. All of them are chinese. I'll have a look at the parts counter tonight.Shipping and returns generally get me to go else where. Have you tried the Parts Counter here?
two days after your order is about when they send you the new codeFaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.....
Ordered two days ago; could have used it too.
and this checks outLast few times I went to order from Rock Auto, I searched the part numbers on Amazon and Summit and found better deals there. Especially when you consider the shipping cost and they won't be a dick if you have to return something.
unfortunately I've been finding similar and using Rockauto less than I used to. Throw in Ebay, and I can often find stuff for within $2 of RA but free shipping, instead of 5 different warehouse shipping charges because I want plugs, wires, AND coils and they're all in a different warehouseLast few times I went to order from Rock Auto, I searched the part numbers on Amazon and Summit and found better deals there. i just ordered all new steering parts for my jeep and after tax and shipping rockauto was 10$ cheaper then amazon(same brand and part numbers)I just ordered a set of glow plugs and a blower motor for my pickup:
I went with RockAuto. The 5% code basically eliminated the shipping cost and (fortunately) both items were coming from the same warehouse. I agree that when everything is coming from a separate warehouse it typically wipes out any savings. Advance Auto was even with a 15% coupon code.
- Summit - $216.14
- RockAuto - $139.96
- Amazon - $147.60
- Advance Auto - $154.35
By the way, neither item showed up in the Parts Counter. Also, I can literally walk to the local Advance Auto and would have paid $15 more just to go get it now, but they didn't have the blower motor and had less than eight glow plugs so I would have had to have it shipped from them anyway.
It's definitely worth shopping around.
I'd much rather they be transparent about shipping costs and let me mix and match to reduce cost than increase the cost of everything in order to avoid frustrating people who can't figure it out.The problem i have with RA is their shipping algorithms. This is often what happens to me when put in the cart (in this order).
Order 1 part, location A
Order another part, location A
Order a third part, location B
Order a 4th, location A
Remove part 3 and part 2 now shows location B, or part 4 does.
Over and over that happens.
Most recent bitch was a new one i hadn't seen before... i pulled up a radiator and it showed $39 in shipping. This same radiator was only $19 shipping a few weeks earlier. So i added a set of shoes and the shipping went back to $19 on the radiator.
There's an evil rat in the system. And i don't need to do the brakes for months still yet, but they basically were free if i were to buy the radiator alone and the brakes later. Bastids.
my biggest complaint besides them padding the shipping every other order is most of the time my shit is coming from the east coast via fedex so it takes 2weeks, if i want it quicker i usually go amazonThe problem i have with RA is their shipping algorithms.
