Brecklin, I love your rig man; enjoyed your build thread. I plan to get some hrew to add some kickouts to my roll bar.1.75x.120 HREW
I've had HREW sliders since 2011 on a Toyota mini truck, plenty of rash but no dents.Sorry, but even for a Sami, do not use hrew, it dents waaaay to easy. If you're going to be cheap, at least use sch40 pipe.
Guess you don't hit many rocks? I've seen even 120 Dom bend bad enough smash the rocker and make the door not open. This wasn't on a drunk guys beat down rig either.I've had HREW sliders since 2011 on a Toyota mini truck, plenty of rash but no dents.
You must not wheelI've had HREW sliders since 2011 on a Toyota mini truck, plenty of rash but no dents.
Damn, how did that even happen?Guess you don't hit many rocks? I've seen even 120 Dom bend bad enough smash the rocker and make the door not open. This wasn't on a drunk guys beat down rig either.
Maybe not as hard as some, but shit does get wheeled. Nice Sami BTW!You must not wheel
When you're on a trail that's all rock for 2-3 days, your Sliders get used. Even in creepy crawly 250:1 toyota speed, some times you just come off something hard.Damn, how did that even happen?
I mean I don't go looking for rocks to hit on purpose, but if it happens it happens.

Using super thin tube to save weight with little concern for damage is one thing, but using hrew over Dom is just cheapDifferent strokes for different folks. Some don't mind dented up.
They are what shape they are because of the body mounts and being tied to the frame. I thought it might bother me but I don’t even see them anymore. Also worried they left the corners of the fenders exposed and that I’d smash them in.The fact that they are too short would drive me nuts!
