Resealing a cat brakesaver

Anybody ever messed with a brake saver? How big of a pain in the ass is it to reseal a one that seems to be leaking oil everywhere it could be leaking?

Goes in between a 3406 and a transmission and punps engine oil to slow the vehicle down. I’d never laid eyes on one until today.

It’s thirty years old and doesn’t use the exhaust, but you are correct in spirit.

Never heard of one of those. If it's 30yrs old I wouldn't hesitate to take it out and try to reseal it myself. What's the worst that could happen, it still leaks?

I have resealed many of those in the late 80's through the 90's. If you have never done one and don't have the seal installers, you are asking for it to leak again. Where are you located at?

It’s more of a question of when than if. Can I do it in an hour or do I need to wait until
I have a day to devote to it.
