I want to bolt down a safe to make it a little harder to carry off in the event someone decides they want my stuff. The issue is it's in a carpeted area. I had 4 1/2" redheads holding it down before, but when I had the carpet replaced I ended up cutting them off. Obviously I need to place it in a slightly different spot. It's nice carpet and I don't want to leave 4 threaded rods sticking up or mess up the carpet if I decide to move the safe. What is on the market that works to secure something and is reliably removable.

Socket anchors are the best for that.

They have a wedge piece you pound down the middle to set them. I use them for a removable tire machine in my shop. It's been working great.

Haven’t used these personally but looked them up recently after they were recommended to me - looks like they just thread into the concrete

Place that bad you need to bolt a safe down?

That tapcon is what I’ve seen everyone recommend. Even my most recent safe came with a set of 3/8x3.

We use these all over at my work. They work great. I hate the Red Heads because we are always changing things. If it is never going to move they are ok.

The drop in threaded anchors are good too. The Strong Ties are just easier.

I've used these a shit load, trusted my life to them on more occasions than I can count. Good stuff.

You could never find mine and I still bolted it down.
I guess. Door is unlocked and keys are in all the equipment so not like a few bolts is stopping even a skid steer, let alone the big equipment.

I used these style
I like the fact that I can remove the item that is bolted down in the future, and there is nothing sticking out of the floor, put a plug in the threads and continue with life
