Red man no more

🤢🤢🤮🤮

Interesting slide if it will upload. Apparently the risk of oral cancer from just cigarettes is about 3.4x higher than non tobacco users and smokeless is about 1.0x higher than non users.

Smokeless is certainly not safe, but neither is walking down the street.

I'm about to drop 1 bad habit for another

Just don’t mix it with alcohol then it jumps up

Everyone knows this is the order:

Dip to stop smoking.
Chew to cut out dipping.
Glue to stop chewing.
Whippets to quit glue.
Diet coke to drop whippets.

smokeless is for pussies.

youre not a pussy, are you?

Easy enough to avoid the sugar kinds. Odd that long cut has cotton and binders, makes me think it is just fine cut and then processed again to make long cut instead of being a different grind.

I dunno how all that works though, original fine works well enough and has the least stuff

If only I had done this much research 20 years ago when I started smoking  granted that was still pretty much all abstaining is best and only option and this whole body didn't exist at the time :rasta:

Edit: yes, I understand this is pushed by "big tobacco" but it is also based on government studies and everybody should be painfully aware of politics and doctors these days

I'd had a log of fine cut, lasted my 3 months. Getting about 2 weeks out of a can. took about a can and a half before I could make it function reliably.

bought another can of long cut the other day since the coffee place didn't have any original snuff. Straight tastes real sweet now by comparison and feels weird. Fine cut just goes away with time, eventually it's pretty much all spit out. Long cut feels like it just turns into a cotton cud after a while.

dramatically cheaper than cigarettes. If i do have a cigarette, seems like it makes my clothes stink for hours afterwards and makes my mouth taste bad

Welp, it's been a year. Haven't had a cigarette in well over 6 months.

Have hit the point that I've got a dip in pretty much all day long at work for probably the same period of time.

Had my annual dentist inspection. Dentist said everything looks good, slight wear on the lip, instead of saying "I need to quit smoking" like they used to always say, she said "make sure you are moving your chew around and not just the same spot every time"

So that was kind of odd. First time I've had a medical field person say tobacco isn't causing undue harm and such :rasta:

Because if you stop they will lose their income stream. You’ll probably need a guy graft eventually. I’ve had two and it wasn’t a a result of chewing just genetics. +$1k for a tiny piece of skin to be grafted

I'm going back in a couple months to get another wisdom tooth pulled out, so they will get paid then

Everywhere she checked, gums are all 1 minus for wear, which is as good as they've ever been and better than they've been previously.

Since yours is just genetic, if I do need one I'll say the same thing :rasta:

Have you given the Zyn nicotine pouches a try?

That’s what I do daily 😬. Probably one of my favorite procedures to do.

Also Provience, I don’t tell people to stop. It is a waste of my time until you actually want to quit yourself. I just tell them how to make it “less risky”.

It was definitely different compared to the constant stop smoking campaign. That's probably what stuck out the most to me.

Even smoking. People ask, well why did this happen? Then I tell them because of smoking or dip or whatever habit they have that caused it (even good habits like brushing too hard or a tongue ring). But I have my own vices. We all do. I’m not here to guilt you for what you do or don’t do. I’m here to fix a problem and educate my patients. What they do from there is up to them.

Smokey mountain helped me quit chewing. Been 3 years give or take. I have picked up smoking cigarillos a few times a week though.

Miss me some Redman chaw. Mostly Grizzly and Winston lights now.

I still go through a tub or two each week. Each tub holds about 10-12 cans of chew.

I got a tub in the truck, work truck, on my night stand, softball bag, and a case of them in the garage.

Bunch of pussys up in here:flipoff2:

You go through 24 cans of chew a week? 3+ cans a day?

They told me to move it around and the dentist boy friend chewed. Also years later a hygienist just came back from a conference where they taught them chew doesn’t increase cancer risk. She said it quiet like and insinuated that the dentists aren’t being open about the study results.

Without question.....I get these tubs in trade, so it's a never ending supply.

My dips are damn near horseshoes, that are at least 1/3 a can each
A real man. I love chew. Switched to On or zyn
