Reagan movie

So stay straight and don't buy a ticket. Got it.

:flipoff2:
Oof got em

Its important:flipoff2:

Not only that, she set precedent for the First Lady being actively involved in the administration and that's been the case ever since. First Lady isn't a fucking job, it's an honorary title. The last thing we need is another unelected person at the highest level of the executive branch. Being married to the President doesn't make you qualified to influence policy.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Let me add to that.

A pretty clear theme of the movie is about how commies infiltrated America, it focuses on Hollywood, but alludes to academia. It's worth taking some younger generations to so maybe they start to see it as well.

There's a lot of things the movie isn't.

But it was just this side of throwing commies from helicopters:usa::flipoff2:

Are they going to cover all the other terrible shit he did as well like the Mulford Act, the 1986 amendments to the NFA, expansion of Federal involvement in education and the National Minimum Drinking Age Act, amnesty for 3 million illegals, the escalation of the War on Drugs, 186% increase in the national debt under his administration, and the expansion of Social Security?

Fuck Reagan.
Thank you for that. Not because I knew that but because I didn’t. I’m off to read up on those items. I want to know more about them so I can form an opinion.

No disrespect but I see an awful lot of bitching and complaining about how things are and have been run but I see no suggestions on how to improve any of it.

I got time, let's hear your ideas.

Don't forget about this gem- Reagan also deinstitutionalized the mentally ill and emptied the psychiatric hospitals into so-called “community” clinics.
Thats the start of homeless people in tent cities

if you were actually thuper therial guyyys then well...
I can't* help you, I can only make fun of you as your god fails you over and over again

*am not willing to

Posting things that will actually help will get you a no-knock visit from the thugs of the recipients of those suggestions
not really, you just gotta laugh at people that feel they're represented in any way by those people who are beyond all consequence (therefore beholden to no-one) and who have more or less enslaved everyone to some degree

by ridiculing those who believe in the cult of state representation their influence is reduced with basically zero effort
and if laws are made against ridiculing the state? Streisand effect, bitch.

according to a unionista
Far from it. If you think you can offend a room of conservatives by being in a union, try being in a room full of labor and being a conservative :flipoff2:

Actually I looked up Ron Paul's position on unions before I signed my card. He said that if men seek to collectively bargain for wages and conditions, then that is their right to do so.

I saw how the privately held Mexican corporation treated its salary employees and decided I'd join the group of guys who bargained as a unit. I wasn't happy with them either and made what changes I could.

But(t) fuck big labor, and fuck big business. Crony capitalism isn't unfettered commerce by a long shot.

Reagan didn't walk on water, but somebody made a movie about defeating commies, it's 7 fiat dollars, don't be a chew, go see it:flipoff2:

...and the expansion of Social Security?
IIRC, Reagan wanted to cut social security?
He cut a lot of the Carter administration programs & told the US citizens "to tighten their belts."

And the Star Wars program, wasn't that a fiasco with lost in space equipment-

Edit~ gawd, ima old-

While I agree with that sentiment most of those aren't worshipped like Reagan was. He is considered the "ideal conservative" by alot of people (especially boomers) and was actually a huge piece of shit who signed rights away as fast as the pen would move and that is the kind of conservatism they want back. So fuck that guy in particular.
Just more proof of what I've been posting for quite a while. Both major parties want to control you by fucking you out of your rights, it's just what rights they want to fuck you out of.:flipoff:

He signed a bill that made SS benefits subject to federal income tax.

That was only part of it. The expansion part was it required Federal employees to enroll, prior to 1983 they were exempt. It also raised the age to claim to 67 and increased taxes on benefits if you had income over a certain amount, don't recall what that number was offhand.

Had to check the address bar and make sure this wasn't Reddit for a second with all the Fuck Reagan nonsense. Bunch of closet commies I guess. :flipoff2:

He also signed the windfall provisions act....

So when I worked 2 full time jobs for a decade....one was .gov pension. One was SS....I paid into SS for over 15 yrs...but due to my other pension I'm only going to get 25% of my SS benefits......It won't even cover my Medicare expenses when I'm eligible :mad3:

Anybody remember Sandra Day O'Connor? She was the first female US Supreme Court Justice to be sworn in 1981. She was nominated by Reagan.
She served on the Court until Jan 31, 2006.

Something about a structured tier?
And...
Gonzo made a rule that all checking & savings accounts be taxable- :mad3:
