I’m a web wheeler!

It was fun but why does this place smell like shit 💩. It was an 8 hour road trip one way. Did some sightseeing on the way back to Canada. We set the cruise control basically all the way to the border. Get to Canada… congestion, construction, poor drivers… you guys definitely have some of those highways figured out.

I’d like to do another East trip… Maine, New York… anyone have some recommendations within 8 hours?

Visited the “local” geyser, Centralia, Watkins Glen International and the Gorge Trail on the way home.

That must be a different Rausch creek than we have locally. LOL. Good to wheel the web overy once in a while. I opened the thread expecting photos around where I am or maybe a parts request.

What traile are RC is this? Granted it's been quite a while but don't remember that.

If you bring up the trail map that is south of the highway it’s the bottom left. You’ll see “Quarry” marked in blue and it’s the Black in that area. The furthest south you can travel.

I believe it’s snake something but I can’t read the map on my phone and the paper map I left in my friends LJ.

Been there tons of time never noticed, have you done your sock laundry recently?
Sock laundry? Day two my feet smelled like shit 😂 from wearing insulted Muck boots. I was expecting way more mud being that our East Coast “only has mud and no real rocks” :flipoff2:

ha it has not rained much at all in the last few months, usually there is allot of mud.

AOAA is not far from Rausch. We were going to do a split trip to Rausch and AOAA, but figured out we'd speed $130 for a day of riding at RC and just went for 2 days at AOAA for $60 for both days.

As far as Northern NH/Maine go there is Jericho in Berlin NH, RMTP in Carthage ME and Hemonds in Minot ME. That's pretty much it for publicly accessible trails. None of them are worth a dedicated trip from more than a few hours away but if you string them together like UA did, it could be a good time if you factor in stuff like Mt Washington and such.

Now that being said, there's lots of private property trails around on some pretty awesome terrain - Most though clubs/NEA, and a few other through private owners. For simplicities sake, an NEA4WD/Field and Forrest/Brookfield/whatever open run is your best bet without trying to figure out individual private trails.

Ultra4 going back to RC for an East Region race in March. Was one of the original parks to be able to qualify for KOH back in 2009. Shame I will be in Grenada that weekend or would have made the trip to Pine Grove again and O’Neals!

Snake bite I believe, and it's a wicked fun trail if it's the one in thinking of. I haven't been to rausch in a few years even though it's local. Most of my local friends sold their junk, and nobody could ever hang with me on my 40s . The coal dirt doesn't smell too pleasant to outsiders either.

quarry/ shoot the moon RSWORDS

Yep, coming up from the bottom of the quarry, towards Shoot the Moon. Back in the day my buddy Otter drove his moon buggy down that steep rocky wall

Snakebite is all the way down that one access road, if you happened to do Camelback while you were out there (entrance is right across from Snakebite), I cut that one with a couple friends like 12 years ago :)

Looks like Cemetery/Tombstone in there as well. Centralia was much cooler before they buried the graffiti highway 😕

Sign up for an open run at Field and Forest in New Hampshire. You wont be disappointed. Field & Forest Recreation Area | Harrisville NH

The NEA4WD also hosts some open runs through out the year (or better yet, join an New England Club) Northeast Association of 4WD Clubs

Jericho NH is a fun spot too.there is a picture thread in the reginal group here. NH State Parks - Jericho Mountain State Park

Whats your start point? 8 hours from where?
I meant to edit my post, 8 hours max from the border(s). Its about 2 to get to the east crossings
