What's new

Random stuff you made.

hammering the bearing race off the snap ring for a li'l bit of clearance helps a lot too
I did knock the race back off a bit. The snap ring was twisting as I squeezed it and popping out or the needle nose jaws, I don't have any long needle nose, just normal length maybe that's the problem.

Bunch of stuff I’ve been making lately.

Another hydraulic press project. A friend gave me some different dies, and I needed a holder to use them.

I grabbed some 1/2” plate from the remnant pile. I made two 1.75” pieces and a 1.25 piece. I drilled and tapped the pieces so I can bolt on the front piece. Back two pieces are welded together. Now I can finally use all the random dies.

TP holder.. couple China wrenches and an old dirt bike sprocket. Hardest part was getting the patina on it.. couldn’t get the chrome off the wrenches without a grinder.. multiple times heating to red hot just made em funny colors.

I think the wrenches were like $11 a set on sale from Lowes or TSC.. I just didn’t have 2 matching junk 5/8”

I decided I want to make a grapple for grabbing logs with the 3 point on the tractor. Built this today, will do the rest maybe tomorrow.
I'm using a 2.5" bore by 6" stroke cylinder I had on the shelf. Hopefully it won't be too powerful!
I'm undecided if I'm going to use chains to hang it or two D-rings. I don't have enough hydraulics to mount it to a rotator.

I was digging through my storage building this weekend, finally hauling some bigger tools home after moving a couple years ago, and found the first thing I ever TIG welded. A SS ashtray I made at work in 2007.

Made a little tray out of 6" track to hold press related stuff on top of the press.

Handy wheel holder out of emt and free rusty flat bar to keep all that stuff off the table.

Flat bar wasn't long enough so the little wheel sets prongs are a conglomeration from my random hex key jar.

i need to do a quick grinder wheel mount like that, mine are on nails that are too short and randomly stuck into studs:homer:

About a year ago we were at the Rennaissance Festival and my niece found some armor she wanted. It was $900

I figured how hard can it be?

I bought the pattern on etsy and spent way more money and time than I thought I would making her a dragon scale battle skirt.

I printed the Ax head and carved the handle out of a piece of pallet wood.

Looks fantastic. Are the scales metal or plastic?

keep an eye out for leather couches and chairs on the craigslist

strip the leather, burn the couch
Good idea
Strip the leather, leave the couch on the side of the road where you found it. They already committed to having trash on the curb, might as well make it trashier trash
Better idea

Best idea?

Strip leather. Set Biden Harris, 2024 placard’s around. set fire to couch. Make meme.

Some of the stuff I’ve been working on lately.

Playing around with some slices from an old log.

Another customer order. Cat skull hair tie thing. Customer left the color choice to me so I went with a silk copper. Came out pretty damn nice if I do say so myself.

And I started working on my department Christmas gifts. Front side on all of them looks like this. Backside has each members names on them
