Anybody else build a scaler replica of their real rig? I figured i might as well have 1 to drive while the other is down. I've been having a lot of fun with this thing since I got it. It's tough not to spend wheeler money on a couple more. I'm waiting on parts for both trucks right now but the TRX4 is keeping me entertained.

I never owned the full size, but i did build it for my buddy who owned it for several years. The RC version is mine, and an exact scale replica using the Irocs as a scale reference. It's an all steel cage, and heavy, so it actually behaves more like the real thing that a toy, and I built a few other ones including making aluminum square body chevy panels for one.

I haven’t because I know I would spend all my money and time building the crawler I want in scale form instead of life size.

I can understand that. Probably why I got out of r/c for a long time. The one benefit is that it keeps me busy and the parts are a lot less. It's nice to pay $60 for a set of tires instead of $2500.

Built this 4runner around 2010, sold it on the old site in 2012. Someone makes an rc version of it now.
