I need to replace my Blue Kazoo long sleeping bag. The zipper won’t stay closed, and it has lost a lot of filling from the zipper getting stuck and tearing the fabric open. I want to stay with down fill, but maybe there’s one with better quality zipper, and somehow doesn’t keep getting the zipper stuck.

I’m a fan of the Sea to Summit Trek if you’re looking at the $300 price range and care about being lightweight. Mine is the 18 degree version and weighs 2lbs 2oz, and I like the fact that it has a roomy foot box and can unzip completely. It seems to be really good quality, but has only been used on one elk hunting trip though so I haven’t abused it yet.

They have a newer version out now that looks to be the same for the most part.

If you’re I’m the $500-$600 range the Western Mountaineering bags are supposed to be the cat’s ass and a lifetime purchase.
