Psychics/ can youtube videos be edited after publishing?

My FIL sent me this, go to 11 minutes in, guy describes Trumps Saturday pretty well. First thought was a hoax but youtube has it as 4 months old.

Been messing with me all day. Can this be real?

There's no way to edit a video. You can edit the title, description, etc. But no way that I can see that you can actually change or edit the content of the video. That would be a huge flaw if they allowed that - post something, get a bunch of views and interaction and then change it to something completely different to scam people.

There may be an explanation, but it's not something you can readily do on a normal youtube channel.

with music videos.. they let you upload a better image quality years later.. at that time you can edit content.. normally the only thing people do is blur something on the screen.. or remove the sounding of a single or a few words.. stuff like that..

Yes, they can edit them. I just watched a woodworking video earlier today. Half of the comments were condemning the main guy for how he was treating his employee. The other half of the comments were calling him a coward because they edited the video and removed the parts of him yelling at the guy.
