1st time it’s been off jack stands and the table! Hopefully should have this done and wheeling in a week or so a few things left to wrap up.

I had a spare winch remote so I pulled the switch out of it and I’m going to “hard wire” the switch to the dash… I’ll mount the switch and I shorten the plug wires so I don’t have 6’ of wire to wrap up under the dash. Nice thing is if I need to run the winch out of the cab I can just unplug the “hard wired” stuff and plug the other remote in

Got to drive it around the house for the 1st time this past weekend everything went pretty smooth but don’t have 2nt gear well it felt like it went but it wouldn’t move it was like it was bound up.

Pulled the trans and the valve body and found the servo piston ring broke and the piston was stuck.. so I found a new servo and need parts I’m in process to get all back together hopefully testing for 2nt gear tonight after work.

But damn it looks great out side

Got it out for the 1st time this weekend… didn’t get a lot of pics we got rained on.

Overall I’m so happy with it a few odds and ends to still wrap up adjust only issues I had was the belt was coming apart so I’ve been working with drew at goat built. This car did so good it’s so stable couldn’t be happier!

Been getting this thing out a little bit and it works really well!

Still working out a few bugs with the belt Drew at goat built ghosted me order a few more belts to fit a shorter one.

Need to adjust the front lower links have to be moved just a little as the driver side touches the drive shaft.

Got it out again still working out a vapor lock issue…. It was like 100* and it made to the end of the trail before it started acting up so I built a heat shield for the fuel cell to try to help keep hot air of the radiator off it… but the cooling system is working great the buggy has been staying in the 190s even with it 100° out

Just found this thread today and started reading first page, awesome work :smokin:
I have a probably stupid question though, and maybe it's common on buggys, but won't it be hot as hell sitting right in front of the radiator? And how's the airflow with the cooler so close to it? Come to think of it, all that heat beside a cooler seems counter productive as well. As I said, not flaming or anything at all, just asking a probably dumb question.

Usually the fans are wired up to pull, and hot air exits the rear. Reverse this for a winter heater.

All good! The fan is a puller and seams to keep the buggy nice a cool I’m running in the 190°s even on a 100° day just made that heat shield to hopefully keep the cell from warming up but it’s nice not having hot air blowing on me when it’s warm outside
