Project LongFranks

That really kicks ass man.

My 06 TJ has an automatic too and you have to throttle to get it to climb but it does not hold the Jeep back at all coming down the obstacle. So you are constantly riding the brake to get it to come down easy. When I have squeaky brakes everybody on the trail knows it lol.
Yeah. I totally get that. My friend Joe asked if it was a crawl ratio thing but with 5.38 gears and a 4:1 i think its technique.

Took it on it’s first trail. Rim Butte trail near Bend. The damn thing dominated. Probably needs hydro assist steering. Damn it rains a bunch up here.

I don't know, those pictures of you in the Jeep look pretty lame compared to some pictures I've seen of you on gcc in all sorts of cool and weird places.:flipoff2:

We've had a pretty wet spring up here in the PNW this year. Congratulations on getting out and having fun in your Jeep.

That's rad ! Good to see you out wheeling !

Here is some in Car. Hope you like it. At 10 minutes it might be too long.
Just about the right length to get me through the end of the work day. :lmao:

Do you feel like you are getting a handle on coming down slowly off of obstacles now or are you gonna just have to let the armor take care of it?

I think it was way better this time. Still weird when you hit a rock and stop cold. Possibly because I was at 12 psi, not 38? 😆

Going to address steering next.

:tank:

Did you drive it up there also?
No. I was going to, then a empty spot on a 2 car hauler opened up. Most of my friends were trying to talk me out of driving and provided the trailer space. The only people that drove with Fred Williams and Dave Chappelle. And both of them broke their shit.

The jeep is loud as hell and doesn’t have all the windows anymore, so I don’t think the AC would’ve worked great. Central Valley can get pretty nasty.

Gotcha, ya, you're right about heat. I think its been near or over 100* in Chico lately, so you probably would have been around 100* for the 6 or 8 hours it takes to get from the grapevine to Lake Shasta.

I spy a Scott!

All the pics and vids that came out of that trip got me looking at wheeling in oregon now. Looked like a good time.

Went wheeling again. Had a great time. This video isn’t the best because Fred had the dirtiest window and the sun was in front of us for most of the day. 🤷‍♂️ But it beats anything on MotorTrend today…
