I'm looking into converting my manual Pro Tools bender to electric hydro. I see the kits from Pro Tools and Trick Tools, but $900 for the hydro pump seems high. What is everyone else using for their hydro pumps? I see the ones for car lifts for half that price, but they're 220v and not sure if the specs would match up.

Depends on your ram size. Most of those car lift type pumps are only good for 3500PSI. the air over hydraulic pump I have is good for 10K. If you ran a lower pressure pump you would need a bigger ram.

I used a regular enerpac ram and air pump.

Tommygate lift pump and a 3x24 cheapo tie rod cylinder. Old truck battery and a trickle charger. Logsplitter style valve to run it forward/back, big chunk of angle to hold up the cylinder. It's pretty redneck, but works well.
