So it looks like the pump on my troy built, honda powered pressure washer stopped being a pump.

A replacement pump seems to be between $89 and $325.

Never played with a pump before... anything I should check or is this just the way these shit themselves and pump swap is the solution?

TIA,

Highboy.

Vertical engine lawnmower type? I replaced the whole pump on my Honda engine style one. I assume you could also find valves and a pressure regulator valve for it, or try to clean up what you have.

Check the relief valve and unloader for broken broken springs or seals. More than that probably cheaper to replace.

you did the basics like, checking the screen? Verifying that water flow is correct?

I had one day that a hose I was using had a valve back behind me that was cracked, when you opened the hose, it would act like everything was all ok, but the pressure inside the hose would bleed off, and the volume wasn't there after 10 or so seconds

Yep, vertical mount.

Looks like part number 706386

Vevor sells a replacement for $57 ... will see if that works.. otherwise looking at $195 for an OEM unit.

I was 45 minutes into pressure washing the house... suddenly it was no more pressure. The was no leakage from the pump and nothing was changed while running it...
Start taking it apart, it could be simple. Suddenly stopping means something got clogged, stuck or blew up. Can’t really make it worse

Yup... not gonna work like that...

They're all pretty much the same. I have one with a Honda engine that refuses to die, despite how much I abuse it, leave it outside for months at a time, and run shit fuel through it. But it does seem like I need to throw a new pump at it every few years. Most of the time it's the valves that get stuck on mine and the the pumps are cheap enough to not bother fucking with.

I threw this one on mine a couple months ago. Looks to be the same as the vevor one.
