What's new

Post up rare, custom, or just plain weird trucks!

It is, here is the plaque by it:

It's still a meh, they were gas hogs when new, lost any wheeler cred after this job:flipoff2:
Now lemme have the eng....:smokin:

Yes please :flipoff2:
Irs and ball joint weaker but smoother ride.
Scoobie power. A bit heavier than type1 but I wonder compared to the corvair...

Ya, that's about the worst choice of engine you could possibly make to put in a big heavy pig.

Sticking that engine in a Cobra kit would be a different story.

When I first heard there was a Hummer2 coming out, about the size of a Cherokee, I was super excited. I was picturing long travel and portals.

Then it turned out to be a Chevy in drag. :barf:

I hadn't been as disappointed since the "New Beetle" turned out to be a water-cooled front-drive Golf-based POS heavier than my Mustang.

fun fact, the NB was the first A4 platform vehicle released
the A4 golf and jetta came out the next year

Interesting, did you see it jacked up? I don’t suppose it could take much driving forces. Was it just for displaying the speakers?

Those airbags should be plenty to lift that Jeep and the Cummins. Probably wouldn't ride especially nice, but it should cruise without too many handling issues.

Ehh. A4 = "doesn't have a stock class in Baja".

That is interesting how they released them, though. I didn't know that.

We never got to see it at ride height. It was a vendor there that was mounting/balancing tires on site, so I figured it was there to show off the giant wheels.

The leverage with those arms would be really high. From what I can see, there is zero side to side suspension. I’m not sure why they didn’t make the arms bolt on to the standard Superduty rubber mounts. I think the frame at the core support would need to be built like a tank. I guess the drive for the front axle is taking the room up on the (normal) drivers floor board. Still must have been hard to snake that past the Cummins. Do you think the Cummins is not parallel to the frame?
