God damn, how big is the lot lizard you picked up if you need a pilot truck?

:flipoff2:
She was a #100k one….:flipoff2:

Meh it’s grade 100 stuff. Equipment that size, if it’s going to move it will. And the terrain I run on, if you got chains running everywhere, it won’t let the trailer flex, and shit breaks.
Don’t the dot pinch you if you don’t have enough? If it’s just off road stuff then your cool :flipoff2:

We have 130-140k lb rigs come in all the time with no more than 8 chains holding them down. 4 on the tracks and 4 X'd on the undercarriage D rings. Must be a Wisconsin DOT thing or they just hate you.

Yeah we need to have greater 50% of the weight of the machine covered with the chains. A chain that goes from one side over the machine to the other gets 100% the wll. A chain that goes from the track to trailer only counts for 1/2 wll. So a 1/2 grade70 is only 11300wll. So we would need 8 chains on the tracks and 1 across the boom to be legal.

Mvanhelden pic he is only at 15,000/2 * 4 = 30,000. He needs to be at 50,000 or more to be legal in wi.

Honestly, I don't think his chains would fly here in Texas either. It looks light in the chain department IMO and I'm very surprised that flys in Cali.

Loads like these, you avoid DOT at all costs. Like this load, I brought it about 25 miles. As of now, our only DOT officer in this area retired a while ago, so we have none. That’s no excuse for safety. That load I hauled wasn’t going anywhere. It made it out of the woods up and down grades probably 12-15%. If it’s going to move, it will. We don’t have interstate highways I’m swerving to avoid stuff at 70mph.

We would normally double up on each corner of our jaw, not always though, just depended on the driver

Played a neat little venue in Brooklyn tonight, the Jalopy Theater (and the Jalopy Tavern, next door)...I was just on as lead guitar/harmony vox but the main guy had some technical issues so I did a few songs solo to fill some time. Truly a great spot though, awesome crowd, we'll be back here again :)

I can't see, but is that a Revox? Twin Verb? What is it...

Didn't look honestly, I wasn't using it...with my buddy and I we just shared the one condenser mic old school style and it worked really well.

Then sometimes you get a New Orleans-esque band that follows, with a dude playing the shit out of a washboard.
