What's everyone using for portable lighting under the vehicle? Tired of the old light bulb one that I have that doesn't produce much light and the old halogen one tries to cook you. Looked and found some of the portable LED ones, but not sure on brands. Got one that you like?

I have a cheap harbor freight led work light and it does very well. If you can find a piece of while rubber roofing like some TPO and lay it under the car the light will reflect off it and makes things much brighter.

I know a guy that did his shop floor in a white epoxy....its amazing how bright it is under a vehicle.

I have 2 of these that I've been using for a few years now. Both are working fine and have good battery life.

Bought one of these for work a month or two ago and it's one of the best work lights I've ever had. I bought it after my big $ Mac work light shit the bed, this thing isn't quite as intense but it offers every bit as much usable light as the more expensive stuff I've owned. Lights a whole engine bay nicely if you stick it to the underside of the hood. Being able to just slap a battery in it when it dies instead of having to plug it in and deal with a cord or deal with not having a light is awesome too.

I use this Porter Cable one, really like it.

I'm sure it's the same $3 alibaba led panel in $90 of plastic housing and proprietary battey attachment.

Age is catching up. Eyes need more light to work, and adjust slower to dark.

I've started sliding a basic plug-in twin 4' flourescent fixture under the vehicle (lay an old wrap-fixture lens over top for protection). This raises the whole ambient light level under there in a good way. Then the battery LED worklight is supplementary, and not fawkin blinding when I mishandle it.:goofball:

Astro-Pneumatic has a pretty nice setup (battery powered). Seen it on GJ. I'll try and fink a link later today. Uses 18650 and/or a larger battery (comes with an adapter). Also has some accessories, comes with a magnet swivel base, and you can get a suction cup adapter to work with the mag base.

They seem like they are trying to build a quality brand, built offshore but reasonable quality.

Edit: It's the Astro Pneumatic 80SL. I want one.

$3 single LED, single battery pen light. Turn it on then stick it in your mouth and point it where you want to see.

I've also got a magnetic flash light I use sometimes.
