Any of you guys get polled? My land line is a fucking pollster magnet. Lately I have been getting 1-2 polls a week. I am in a swing state so I’m sure my info is coveted by the political operatives. Lately if I get a robo call poll Im a suburban middle age college educated woman who is in love with blm and will be voting for Biden.

The in person polls I try and figure their spin out in the first few questions and answer how they want you too.

Today I got a poll about mail in voting and if I would more or less likely to vote by mail do to the Rona.

Am I a asshole for fucking with the pollsters? I’m of the opinion that I rather see my guy down a bit than ahead. A hungry dog fights harder than a full one.
 
Here in NJ it's the opposite...I don't know anyone who has ever been polled, nor do any of my friends or family. It's like they poll exclusively to their own echo chamber.

They come out with something like "The governor has nearly 70% approval rating during his handling of the pandemic", blast it all over the news and the radio stations. Then you read the fine print and the sample size was something like 500 people, in a state of almost 9 million. I pretty firmly believe it's to make you question your own opposition if you're not going along with whatever the game is at the time.

It’s likely do to you not having a land line anymore. My land line is my businesses number and has been active for the last 50+ years. I do find them kinda interesting on the questions they ask how they word the questions and what they look for in your response.

You need to start spamming your cell number to the political campaign offices, in order to get a poll.
 
Not sure if they are polls since we don't answer numbers we don't know, but we get two or three calls a day

I get calls and if it's ANY type of poll I immediately hang up. No matter what side is doing the poll it's slanted and I refuse to add to their numbers.
 
Been getting text message polls recently. Always chose that mainstream candidates suck and pick third party
 
Never been called for polls, I've also never had a landline. My grandparents still do and I swear they get hit up once a day. I'll randomly answer the phone and screw with them.

I do get random text messages with the wrong name/city/state asking if I support whatever blue agenda. I'll ignore or troll depending on my mood.
 
No calls here, haven't had a land line since about 2005. I have got a couple of texts to donate to candidates which were promptly deleted. Polls are all bullshit anyways and easily can be/are manipulated.
 
Nope, phone has a built in call screener. Make people say who they are and why they're calling and transcripts it on the screen.

Gotta make sure you know what they're talking about though. 99% of them they use the wrong candidates name for whatever they're asking to see if you really support it or just vote by party.
 
only got called once about poll, it was basically a gun control poll, f ed with them for a while, when i got bored with them i told the lady i was life member of nra, and lied about every question. she hung up on me.
 
I don't have a land line, sometimes I get texts and emails but don't respond to any polls or surveys.
 
They (pollsters) call my 88yo mother's landline all the time.. Drives her bat-shit crazy; with her responding with numerous "F" bombs that would make a sailor blush.
I think conventional telephone polls are worthless now days. This fucking internet thingy has tossed that baby out with the bath water. Data mining of cell/smart phone data would be of a real advantage to someone who know how to use it. :smokin::stirthepot:

Only if answering the door wearing a motorcycle helmet, speedo, carrying a riding crop, and saying "the safeword is meatloaf; come on in" to Jehovah's witnesses makes me one.
