The blow off valve is open at idle so all you hear is that and the clacking of the straight cut gears in the procharger.
No, that's not it. The uneven firing sound when the throttle is mashed. Sounds like a super leaky flange. One port going pop-pop-pop. I had to cut a breather hole in a header pipe one race after the tire departed and mashed it. Sounded just like that. Longest 200 miles in my life.
