Trying to find an off the shelf hose for my 12 valve conversion. Both the pump and booster use 16x1.5 inverted flare male.

I'm thinking something out there had to have came with this hose, just no idea how to look it up. One challenge is that there is only ~1" between the pump and motor mount so one side needs to be a tight 90.

The Ford pump used 16x1.5 also, but slightly different type of fitting I'm not familiar with.

I'm tempted the crank it in there and see if it leaks, but :homer:

Last resort is - 6 jic adapters and just go to basic hydraulic hoses that can be had anywhere. Again I'd need a tight 90, I thought I had found the adapter I needed, but didn't save it :homer:

I know :homer:

I was hoping for someone to come in and say something like "oh ya, 93 dodge Dakota is inverted flare on both sides"

Found the 90

$60!:eek::laughing:

Since I have you attention, would I be retarded to use the end in the 2nd picture in the Cummins pump? Seems like a lot of guys are doing that in these conversions.

What about using this fitting?

One of your pictures is definitely not an inverted flare.

Can you swap the fittings in the power steering pumps?

Can you remove the female fitting and have someone spin up an adapter to put a street elbow on there? Or possibly use those threads directly in the box? I have no idea what's behind it so probably talking out of my ass.

Yes, there are 3 sag p-pump fittings, inverted, oring, -6 sae(not jic/an)

I bought "pre bent/formed" blank end from parker for exactly this situation. I can do what i need to then have a hydro hose crimped on once im ready.

Hit me up tommorrow and i can post pics.

I didn't think it was either, the parts store guy said it was though and Google backed him up. There seems to be a lot of inconsistency in what that type of fitting is actually called. I'm referring to the last picture with the o ring on the end.

I thought this was inverted flare.

I actually thought of that, after I posted this and was looking at the pics.

Anyone know the term for the type of fitting in the 2nd Pic? With the 90* its also 16x1.5 threads.

So it seems like the pump side adapter is actually turning out to be easier to find than the hydroboost side :homer:

It's the same style fitting, but 11/16 which seems to be really uncommon in that o ring style.

Niether of the fittings I need are listed there.

I did have a duh moment today. I can just tap the stock pump adapter for 3/8 npt. And use a $3 fitting instead of $60

I don't want to tap the hydroboost though, so I still would like to find an adapter for that.

3/8 npt vs 16mm

Well I found that Brakequip makes the 11/16 adapter.

P# 7mbt-6mj

Ordered that and the 3/8npt x - 6 90 from this place.

Home page

Shipping was $2 unlile another place I found that was $11 for the adapter, but $38 to ship :homer: that website is about useless if you don't have p#'s though.

The annoying thing about hydraulic fittings is that there is too many different names for the same thing.
