A gun that comes identified as a non-NFA firearm. I've found a few items on what check marks are need to stay in this category:
Smooth Barrel
OAL of 26"+

what else?
aka shockwave, mare's leg, etc. I thought it was on here before but maybe it was the old place or my searching sucks.

Reformation was what one company called their rifle like firearm.

He covered that already. No rifling.

So that one has what appears to be a stock. That is good to go?
Yes but it’s a huge pile of shit. No rifling means the bullets keyhole. First group is 25 yards. Second one is 70 yards

yeah not looking at one of them (shockwave variant), just trying to figure out what's okay without screwing up the firearm status.

so the only thing I've really found is keeping the lengths of the firearm in the stock ranges. What's the deal with forward grips, the changes the status correct?

"You might beat the charge, but you won't beat the ride."

You gonna argue about smooth bores on the side of the highway?
Any cop with 2 firing brain cells should be able to pull out his phone and figure out in under 2 minutes that you are not a felon.

You are assuming that any side of the road cop cares a bit about not arresting an innocent individual.

Thats a big stretch of the imagination.

I’d find the first Jewish lawyer I could find to sue the department into bankruptcy. :usa:

You can't change the birdshead grip to a pistol grip. Wouldn't want to anyway, pistol grip 12 ga bites the web of your hand pretty hard in an unpleasant way.
Putting a vertical foregrip on one is technically legal as the shockwave isn't a pistol. I don't think the vfg would gain you much.
Have you shot a shockwave? Best way to shoot them is from the hip. Shooting them from shoulder level out in front of you isn't the most effective with full power loads. The mini shells are much more pleasant and a lot of fun.

There are a lot of pokes in the eye of the atf lately. The atf is pushing back on devices like forced reset triggers. With the precident set by the bump stock machine gun bs they are assuming they can write their own laws.
Be prepared for these pokes in the eye to be attacked even though they follow the letter of the law.

Axe 410, not going with a pistol grip, agree there. Shoulder stock is what I was looking at. Unsure if it would cycle mini shells, don't see why not but 410 is still pretty high and not common.

Yeah not looking to poke any bears.
