Just saw this for the first time today

Anybody else seen this yet?

It's for sxs but if all the claims they make are true is this the new direction for all ifs?

Short course guys have been running that stuff for a while. It works really well to fix poorly designed factory SxS suspension geometry but if you buy or build something that doesn't have bad geometry it's not really needed.

Essentially what it lets you do is get nearly a zero scrub setup without having to get crazy with deep backspacing wheels or other measures. It gives you a virtual kingpin axis that's further out than the joints themselves. I think there's a lot of potential for it offroad. It also distributes the force of each control arm across two joints instead of a single joint/uniball which could help with wear life and ultimate breaking strength.

It's been used for quite a while in production road cars, but yeah I'd definitely like to see more people experimenting with it offroad

Check out the first like 15 seconds of this video. You can see the way they moves the hub/rotor assembly in a way that reduces the amount of fore/aft swing of the tire as you turn (aka scrub radius, from a different perspective)

my old BMW e39 M5 had double ball joint's as well and it helps with handling a lot. Not new concept for automobiles but new for off-road fixing bad factory geometry and bump steer ackerman etc.
