I’m just curious what are people paying these days for car insurance?

No I’m not talking about your 40-year-old shit bucket.
I’m talking something that was made in the last five years.

I’m just curious how much the variations are looking between 2200 to 2800 a year and it doesn’t matter if it’s newer truck SUV, car luxury or base model they all seem to have the same price points.

I'm not surprised. All these crumple zones meant to sacrifice the car to protect the occupants also mean that simple fender benders turn into tens of thousands of dollars in damage if not a totaled vehicle.

Full coverage on:
2017 Acura MDX

Comp (for towing)
2012 Escape
2004 accord
2012 F150

Liability on

1995 F350

$2200 / 6 months

4 drivers... 2 accidents in the last ~year

Full coverage
2024 Honda Pilot
2007 Silverado 2500hd diesel.

Liability
2008 Sonata
$1644/year
$500 deductable
No accidents or tickets

Michigan is crazy expensive for insurance. More than anybody has listed by 2-3x. Also, I have a 20 and 16 year old on my insurance, so that doesn't help.

2017 Pacifica, full coverage
2014 Hyundai Sonata, liability

$480 every 6 months

1986 F250, liability

$5.63 a month

22 Ford Maverick
17 Ford Escape
94 YJ
All full coverage - 228.38 a month. The house is in there too, plus 25 a year for the golf cart

I have a 24-year-old shit box and it cost me 750 a year for liability

22 yo Explorer and its $900 for two years. Liability only. Perfect driving record, no nuthiin on it. Bout half what I would pay in Sacramento, CA.

250k/500k coverage $500 deductible
All full coverage

2005 F250 $391 - 6 month policy
2012 Ninja 650 $340 - 12 month policy
2001 Miata $330 - 6 month policy

Million dollar umbrella $281 (annual)
Home insurance $950 (annual, just went up to $950 from $805 I think so a 19% percent increase compared to last years costs)

Have my elderly parents on same policy with their two vehicles, they are getting hammered with higher insurance costs due to their age. Ended up being creative to cut that down somewhat.

Ninja and Miata have been on a garage policy (comprehensive only) since last summer, I worked out of town a lot and didn't see a point in paying these crooks moneys for something not used, still have not reactivated either for road use.

$1200/yr for full coverage on a 22 traverse and 16 Chevy 3500. Also have 4 more on liability, and the snowmobiles and 4 wheelers.

99% of our costs are deer related it seems. Dropping full coverage and therefore deer fixes would make it about $300/yr.

23 f150, 22 f350 and the wife’s 15 Yukon. 1000 deductible and 100000 liability bump. 1800 every six months DFW area.

I live out in western North Dakota and I pay $3200 a year for a 6 year old pickup truck, one failure to yield ticket in the last 7 years (February) super excited to see what it goes to once I'm convicted of dui next month, probably just buy a beater and drive without insurance like all the vato's around here.

16 qx80
11 Range Rover sc.
full coverage.
11 Range Rover sport HSE liability.

680 a month.

Texas sucks. I did all I could to get lower 2k deductibles and it’s about 2/3 that now.

One comp claim from hitting a deer a few years ago.

I think it’s insane to tie credit score to rates. Ours isn’t good because we have little debt.

So if my score keeps getting lower because I'm not using any new credit my rates will keep increasing?
Yup, I went years without a cc or any loans my credit went down to 580. I was getting killed on my liability insurance. I grabbed some cards and got it over 700 and my insurance was about half of what it was.

21 Bronco in Fl is $1400 yr

Just finished a 6 hour online AARP smart driving course to take $40 off that a year

For fucks sake, my score has been getting progressively lower the past year or so because I don't have any debt, and I get punished with higher insurance rates 🤔

I have credit cards but they don't seem to be helping my score any, I don't use them much but I do carry a little debt to keep them reporting month to month

And literally everybody who has liability only on their shitboxes pays for it. :mad3:

Might be cheaper to just shoot the other guy if there's any question of fault.
