(WHAM) - A member of the New York State Assembly is proposing a bill that would mandate a COVID-19 vaccine if enough people do not voluntarily participate in the state's vaccination process.

New York State Assemblywoman Linda Rosenthal (D/WF-Manhattan) introduced the bill on December 4.

The bill would require the vaccine to administered to everyone who can receive it in a clinically safe manner. The requirement would only be issued if the state's current vaccination efforts do not reach the minimum amount needed for New York to "achieve sufficient immunity."

"If public health officials determine that sufficient immunity has not been developed, this legislation will allow the Department of Health to require vaccination for individuals able to safely receive the vaccine," the bill states in its text.


The cost of the bill has not yet been determined. It is currently in Assembly committee.

If approved, the bill would take effect immediately.

If you do send your Congressman a letter send them a hand written letter through the mail. They will actually read a short to the point hand written letter. Emails are way to easy to ignore.
 
NYC and the surrounding (Monsey) area have the largest Hasidic Jewish pullulation in the world next to Israel. They don't believe in vaccination.
Years ago when the world was dealing with a measles outbreak. These communities were center of the outbreak.

It will get ignored and not enforced like the rest of the NY laws. In upstate it’s now normal for the Sheriffs to release public statements saying we will not enforce the new xxxx law or regulation.
 

Execpt that by law vaccine manufactures can't be held liable for harm that they cause. Maybe you could sue garlic knot cuomo if he forces it?

Cliffs. If you have a history of allergic reactions to food , environment, or vaccine You should not get this vaccine. Also the vaccine should not be given in a place that does not have resuscitation facilities. If you carry an EpiPen type device for any reason you should also not get the Pfizer vaccine.

but yea lets rush this to market and then have government employees talk about making it forced if not enough people volunteer...
 
This year has made me seriously consider selling everything, buying a big ole sailboat and disappearing much sooner than originally intended....

It's already here between the NM & CO border. According to my understanding of the law; if you travel into NM for any reason, you are supposed to quarantine. This effectively kills a lot of interstate trade.

Keep hearing this shit from liberals, but I thought Trump wasn’t taking Covid seriously enough, why would he even think we needed a vaccine? Covid was going away on its own.

The media is going to continue trashing him until he’s done, the piece the other day was how he had failed the American people by not buying more doses of the Pfizer vaccine that they offered to him before it was approved.

Guess what would have happened if he had said “sure, we will buy them all”, and happens to know somebody on one of their boards?

“Trump wastes taxpayer dollars purchasing unlimited doses of unapproved Pfizer vaccine, with whom he has ties.”

Fuck you guys, and I’m not even a fan of Trump as a person.
