Just bought a used Gen 4 G21 from a local gun shop. Went thru it and set it up similarly to my Gen 4 G23. Finally got around to do some target shooting and just about every ejected round hit me in the forehead. Google search says I'm limp wristing it or the ejector is bad. I realize a .45 ACP isn't going to fire like a .40. Anything else to check on it?

it cycling smartly or lazily?

you could probably change the face angle of the ejector slightly with a file so it hits the case a little different
or hold it sideways, that works too

I've only put 13 rds thru it so far but it seems to cycle normally. I'm going to disassemble the slide and check the number on the extractor.

+1 on hot n sweaty
Brand new?
The amount of rough edges in the fire control system is amazing.
I found this in ( pic below from potato) the safety plunger bore on my 36...

Anyone seen Johnny Glocks utube channel?
Seems to be a guru of sorts.

I'm sure someone will slam me for boomer fudd posting
So:flipoff2:

Try different ammo, grip and stance.
Shoot it till you get comfortable with it.
Also try a detail strip and clean.
Sounds like a mechanical issue more than ergonomics but...

Grow longer arms.

Dude I know bought a .50 DE and at 5'6" his arms weren't long enough and the shells would hit him in the forehead if he wasn't wearing a cap. For me, they fell at my feet.

No, it identifies as a 1911. Not the same. John Browning designed a separate, probably superior platform to fling 9mm.
