Desert season is almost here. Since it will be awhile til my jeep is done, wanted to put some time in on the golf cart. Building a winch bumper, a radius light bar mount, and added a second battery for alllllll the accessories and a winch to draw off of.

Nice work, that light bar bracket came out awesome! :smokin:

Ever consider using a piece of tube as the bottom horizontal mount for the bumper? My idea was to cut a piece of tube sized to fit between between the factory bottom mount tabs and use welded end caps with either nut-certs or the appropriate size nuts tacked to the inside of the caps as the mounts.

Here's a couple of the finished bumper. Waiting on the bar to finish the light mount. Slowpoke, I sandwiched the factory lower mounts with plate outside and tube inside. Beveled to match the load moment on the front of the frame. O good pics of that though.

nothing to keep the top from folding back?

Nice job on the radius, we've used the Swag setup before with good results.

Don't run into too many trees down here in the desert and I am bolted directly into the cage for the lightbar. Or are you referring to the top of the bumper? If so, tried not to go too high with it and give it excessive leverage. Center mounts are double shear, and lowers will be double once the winch plate is installed. If the impact is that hard, that it tears the mounts or folds that .120 wall tube, I'll have other stuff to worry about.
