If you are going up 91, take exit 2 in VT, 9 west. Head over to Bennington, Madison brewery was good. Take 7 North to Manchester. Head from there up to Stowe would be my suggestion.
Yes.

Farm Road brewery is a few doors down to the west.

Have fun. And don't be one of those folks who drives under the speed limit on our windy roads, some of us aren't on vacation! Lol
I've been going 14 over or 5 in the left lane closures. Is that good? I've been slow rolling a few rabbits and pissing them off then moving over.
Let us know where you wind up in VT.
We hit one of the amazing rest areas! A syrup place and Von Trapp and Idletyme so far.

We just jammed up 91 pretty much, wasn't too bad. Except for most of Connecticut, gun wavin New Haven was pretty spot on. Even heard a guy say that outside some fancy cookie place by Yale! Dudes ripping cars up and down the streets there kept me up all night. Probably not going back....

So far Vermont is way more my speed !:flipoff2:

Stayed in Newport instead of Providence, Newport was pretty nice for a total tourist trap. Would 100%go back there! Went to two of the mansions and drove around. Ate too much and drank a little.
Nice.

The wife and my senior prom was at Beechwood. Those are some cool places. When I take my kids we pretend we are "moving in" and they always pick the biggest bedrooms for themselves.

I could live in the kitchen at Marble House for the rest of my life.

If you're still in Stowe, hit up the alchemist then get food at prohibition pig in Waterbury.

Maybe in the yuppie touristy areas, get onto the backroads or away from the tourist traps and its green flag racing

Occasionally you get a good run but there's always some asshole around who's going unreasonably slow and you have to either just sit behind them or wait for somewhere to pass or pass unreasonably. And you might be waiting a long time depending on the road. VT is much worse than NH in this regard. Straightaways with good visibility seem to be much rarer in VT.

Once again, it depends. Central VT, sure. Get west of the mountains and its pretty open land with straight roads.

Reminds me of my first time driving to Fort Drum NY, I had commuted to college in Nashua so I learned how to drive like a masshole. Coming thru the tollbooth on the NY Thruway I was expecting masshole style driving and the goddamn NY drivers were wishy washy as fuck, hammered down the breakdown lane around the cluster fuck like I was used to

How west is west of the mountains? I doesn't really flatten out until you get to the Hudson valley which isn't exactly in VT. Some of the bigger valleys in VT have good roads for passing but they seem to be far rarer than in NH and ME.

Virginians don't expect you come up to ~50+mph traffic speed and then proceed to merge in what they consider to be a dedicated right turn lane with a yield.

Then to a badass brewery on a farm, that was really weird in you had to reserve seating outside.
Fox Farm Brewery, I live in the same town, went to High School with the owner. My wife and I do happy hour there sometimes. They get super busy which is why they make you reserve outside seats.

This. One of my teachers used to say: Only do one illegal thing at a time. If your drinking, don't be speeding. lol.

Were wheeling Wednesday night in Northfield if your still in the area.
Thanks for the invite, probably won’t make it up.

Route 7 is straight and flat from Bennington to Burlington.

Dang! We'd totally take you up on that but we're going to be in Southern Maine Wednesday!

I figured as much, we didn't understand any outside seat was reserved and got kicked out of some lawn chairs! Weird for us because we've got breweries that get crazy busy but they don't have reservations.

Is that a family farm they converted to a brewery or did they buy it and make a brewery? I've got a bet going with the wife.

Both, the owners wife's family bought the farm about a decade or so ago and sold them part of the property to build a house and make the brewery.
