By leaves it looks like maybe a Lacey oak or Mexican blue oak? It has long thin branches that hang down. I'm trying to figure out when I can trim it and if it's susceptible to the oak decline from the beatle.

Central south Texas area.

My vote it for Lacey or Mexican white. Leaves make it kind of hard to tell in the picture.

If my memory is correct, white oak species are more resistant to oak wilt than red oak species. Mexican white oak is fairly resistant. Not sure about Lacey, but live oaks are the least resistant of the white oaks. Been several years since I had a pathology class that covered that, so it may be a little off.
