Yes I still (10/08/2022) want and need the correct manual steering column for a 1985-1986 Chevy truck.

Again wanting a manual (4 speed) 1985-86 steering column.

My nv4500 project failed, so the only other way is to run my sm465.

Still need the blueprint for the 4 inch stickout main shaft for that but maybe in time AA will come thru, as they promised

they would provide some 4 months ago.

The steering column below is from a 1985 K30 but a 1986 K30 steering collumn would work as well.

I've got a 75 non tilt manual column

Thanks appreciate it but need 86 tilt, once and done.

One more time Kathleen.

Does the 82 tilt in my square body help you? PS, though.

Yep looking for a tilt with the key lever, forgot bout that.

Thats what Im looking for.

What's the purpose of the key lever?
IMO it’s so you can’t pull the key out of the ignition in one motion while going down the road (locking the steering wheel)

In an auto you have to be in park to remove the key and lock the wheel.

Was it even available in the 80's?
The couple of times ive seen them in chevies were 70s trucks.

Was it even availble with tilts or mt?

No but then CUCV's didnt come with anything but a 6.2L D a T400 and a figure 8 np205.

Yes they ( key lever column) were available in 85 as I pulled one at a scrap yard a few years ago.

Did cucv's ever have them?

Both MT and tilt.

Not going for total cucv restoration as the 86 also has removable transmission tunnel cover, which no CUCV's had with the exception of the M1009 Blazers.

Its already been installed in another POS square body, have 1 85 and 1 86.

Pics when I can find them, I have posted them in the past.
1985 K30 M1028 CUCV 454, SM465, 6 bolt round np205.

My '90 YJ has one. Tilt, wiper switch, key lever.

Ok now this is getting serious, ima show my 8 tracks.

There you have been educated.

They sounded like shit :flipoff2:

Walked through the hometown pick n pull monday 1 squarebody was automagic.

I went from 8 track to CD totally bypassed cassette.

Same with us baby boomers.

But my pops had more than I did to update to the next media.

First on the silent generations list was a 45 rpm player like in my dads 40 ford coupe.
