reminds me of the warmed-over GTO using the aussie car body. atleast that thing had a V8 running on old dinosaurs.

2004 Pontiac GTO/Monaro body

Agreed, awful. I'll take the GM POS GTO over it and that's saying alot.

They renamed the Ford Escape?

The blew a chance to spin off the existing platform/nameplate and make an electric or hybrid/electric Tesla killer and get people excited about the tech while maintaing some semblance to a Mustang. Instead they basically re-badged a cute ute terd and made that :shaking:

Exactly. That may be a decent car, but it aint a mustang.

Ferd with their heads up their backside again.

Go ahead and make your electric "preformance" car, but don't call a four door cute ute a mustang.

They had one on Leno's garage and it sounded so bad i had to stop watching.

This is exactly right, except I don't think Ford has the tech to produce a "Tesla killer"just yet.

It's always been like the major manufacturers have intentionally made their EVs as unappealing as possible.

For an electric vehicle I think it looks good. What's so bad about it compared to other small ute-things? It's the naming that is putting people off.

There's a GT version with a faux grille, it looks better. Kind of hard to complain about the specs, really. It would probably smoke my supercharged '13 between stoplights. 60 grand for this one though, which is pretty rough.

just have a normal plastic honeycomb, blocked off in the back so its aero is still good

dont do the honeycomb, just some horizontal louvers in there so you can clean the grille easily with a brush. Honeycomb is just a bug catcher.

It about the same level of ugly as most tall wagon suv things on the road. It's most offensive just from a carrying the Mustang nameplate. Ford does have a lot of electric F150s running around that I'm curious to hear more about.

The GT starts at $60k. There has to be a better option out there in that price range.

They always go the extra mile to make them look like an EV. Kia is the only one with a halfway normal looking electric with their e-Soul... the problem with that is it still looks like a fucking Kia Soul.

How else will everyone know how much better you are them them if your electric or hybrid car looks like a regular gas car.

Other people need to know how much you car and that you are saving the planet while they are destroying it.

You can't feel high, mighty and important if your car looks like everyone else.

Electric car drivers are "SPECIAL" and you need to know that.

I don't see the point of sullying the mustang name when they could have come up with well, anything else.

Why the fuck call that a mustang? If you want to gag on the ecock, that's fine, but save the mach and mustang name for something that people will give a shit about. Chevy named the volt, call this one the current and leave resistance to dodge. :flipoff2:

Looks like any other crossover thingy

I have a theory Ford is trying to divide itself into different companies, similar to Dodge and RAM. You'll have the F-series, Bronco (for SUV), and Mustang (for cars).

So Mustang has to claim all the cute-ute's?
