What's new

Mud trucks can crawl!!

It moved to Hot Springs. The management at Byrds made it difficult for the organizer to make it make sense to continue. The vibe is very different at Hot Springs, it's a nice event. The way that is written would indicate the management singled out Madness to run them off, but that's not what's intended and it is not the case.

"Management at Byrds" I think that's an oxymoron.

It's like spinning a roulette wheel figuring out what camping, vehicle, and event charges are going to be. Total luck of the draw of which one of the employees you get and what kind of mood they're in. Unless they all have permanent RBF, it seems to always be a bad mood. Friends and I always compare what we're charged back at camp, none of us are ever charged the same amount.

They have improved the place quite a bit over the years. I think it helps that the Mulberry floods and washes everything away every 5-6 years.

I've seen plenty of dumb stuff at Rocktoberfest too, but the club seems to do a pretty decent job of policing itself.

How does the DUI on private property happen?

Do the cops just see you ripping 7th gear hot laps on your tractor around your property and roll up guns drawn? Or did they get followed home on it?
My friend's dad has a drag strip on his ranch, cops were called for a noise complaint. Luckily they got the dad calmed down and away from the cops before anything happened :homer:.

Well, unless you live in town its because the cops hate you for some reason, even if you do live in town they probably still hate you. Or, an ambulance gets called for some reason, wreck or what not.

Guy looks like he got some punches in his face.

Pretty much that. Power tripping cop or asshole drunk.

Like getting tazed during a traffic stop or getting on the offender list for pissing behind a school at 3am... the stories are out there, but it just doesn't happen all that often.

i am amazed how rednecks with paychecks has as few of fights as it does. and even more amazing is the cleanup sunday afternoon. by 4 the place looks like none of that crazy three day party never happened.

Vermonster?
Randy runs a tight ship and doesn't let too much BS happen. He runs the events at Proving Grounds now and does a good job of keeping up with the riff raff. You're always bound to get some, but its never like the southern events.

The year I was there, an ambulance or a life flight left nearly every hour. We were hanging out around that area for a bit, and they were rolling the casualties out constantly. There's more rules now, but back then, it was no fights, no drugs, no firearms. That's it. I watch the KOH afterparty vids and yeah they look crazy and a recipe for disaster. They also look like about a tenth of what goes on at RWP.

When I went, I took my dad's Ranger 500 crew. Me and my buddy watched a decked out RZR driven by a drunk retard get sideways on a hill climb and barrel roll down. Cooler flying, beer flying, roof came off, arms getting squished in the rolls. There's 4 guys in the thing and they all hop out. We go up to help them out and the driver is screaming at us to get away and quit trying to steal his beer, so we backed off. He ran around like a chicken while his buddys picked up all the beer and pushed the RZR back over. Dude had both arms broken, useless. Then another drove and they limped back to the ambulance area. I'm sitting there looking at the hill, then say, wtf I'll try it. Crawled right up in the bone stock little ranger.

Idiots. Idiots everywhere out there. Had tuna steaks stolen out of our cooler, saw so many fucking accidents. Girls seriously offering favors for beers, my horndog buddy hooked up with a couple different girls in his tent for beer but I value my dick too much.

We watched a brawl in one of the mud pits. A couple drunk guys got in a yelling and insult match on either side of the pit. It wasn't long before they met each other in the pit. It was like a damn cartoon. I watched one guy literally kick the other in the ass so hard that his foot got stuck. Like hopping around on one leg with his other up the dude's ass. He had to use both hands to pull his foot away. I looked at my buddy to confirm I'd just really seen that, and his eyes were bugging out of his head in disbelief too. The noise the recipient of the "ass kicking" made upon impact is also scorched into my psyche.
:lmao:

You'd have to lose IQ points just being around such stupidity....

This sounds absolutely terrible...

SO glad I did not go to these in my 20's, I'd either be dead or my dick would have fallen off:laughing:

We had our camp fire stolen... We had a big log that's was just smoldering during the day. Had been on fire for at least a day now. Comeback for lunch and find a broken shovel and that log stolen.

Years ago there was a video of a legit monster truck jumping rocks in JV, but damned if i can find it now.
This one?

If so, the video is Hammer Down (The Four Wheel Drive Video Series - Volume 1) from 2002.

Video says it was Desert Mountain, Utah, not JV though... I wouldn't know; I've never been to either place.

Thats the one!! Thanks! I'd believe the caption, rather than my memory from 2002. ( I remember a lot more action than that clip shows but..)
