Guild of Calamitous Intent
It moved to Hot Springs. The management at Byrds made it difficult for the organizer to make it make sense to continue. The vibe is very different at Hot Springs, it's a nice event. The way that is written would indicate the management singled out Madness to run them off, but that's not what's intended and it is not the case.
"Management at Byrds" I think that's an oxymoron.
It's like spinning a roulette wheel figuring out what camping, vehicle, and event charges are going to be. Total luck of the draw of which one of the employees you get and what kind of mood they're in. Unless they all have permanent RBF, it seems to always be a bad mood. Friends and I always compare what we're charged back at camp, none of us are ever charged the same amount.
They have improved the place quite a bit over the years. I think it helps that the Mulberry floods and washes everything away every 5-6 years.
I've seen plenty of dumb stuff at Rocktoberfest too, but the club seems to do a pretty decent job of policing itself.
