What's new

Mud trucks can crawl!!

I'd rather watch them crawl over jeeps and fat rednecks
Apperently you get arrested for that
I want to see what happened leading up to that
I am sure it was something equally as duchy
Idk... seemed like he could fear for his life running from angry mob assault from the few seconds that video shows.

I read on FB (so it must be true) that mega truck dude clipped a RZR and apologized to the owner. As he was doing so the crowd got riled up and he tried to leave. They boxed him in and started pelting him with beer cans. He made his own exit.

Right or wrong? Don’t know. Don’t really care. Idiots collided. There was a wet smack.

The few times I went to RYC it was amazing how the sxs and ATV guys would cut off, swerve around and just in general get in the way of these maga trucks that just really can't see them. Especially while these trucks were getting on it in the mud, or doing a recovery.

Story I have seen posted a few times is the guy drove over a Camam, those guys roughed him up. As he was leaving he hit a chevy mega truck and that's where the video starts. I have not idea if this is true or not. Just what I have seen posted a few places

I saw those blue lights flashin'
Over my left shoulder
He walked right up and said
"Get off that riding mower."...

How did we let this country get so fucked up?...... :shaking:
Like said above, I’ve seen shit like this and a ton of other craziness at mud fest and similar events for decades. Things I saw happen in lesterville mo back in the late 70’s - early 80’s to the last time they did events in the early 2000’s was insane. Saw a guy die one year there where this guy was shitfaced with a bunch of other shit faced people riding in the bed of a Ford truck lifted high off the ground with huge tractor tires under it and big radical engine in it. Driver blipped the throttle and we watched this drunk guy flip out of the bed directly onto his skull and lights out. I drove up closer as we were following them and wanted to get around them. We stopped and a bunch of people run up to this guy and you could see gray matter mixed with red leaching out around his skull. I heard later he died.

One mud fest I went to that used to be held locally to me I used to go to regularly. I donated a compact track loader to their event every time they had one. I’d go with a cooler of beer, a video camera and my meat wagon (I had several of these through the years from an old Isuzu 4x4 truck to Toyotas to now a 99 check tracker - mostly stock rigs I use to get around on our farm with for work and hunting)

This one event, I was over at this shallow (12” deep give or take) large mud pit area hanging out with friends watching the craziness go on. This huge old school Ford truck on rockwells setting on gigantic AG tires was parked in the pit near where we were standing on the bank. Out in the pit comes this brand new silver/gray Ram crew cab Cummins SRW long bed stock truck slipping and sliding trying to do donuts in the mud pit. Driver was running this truck hard and everyone on the bank is yelling and yahooing at him to drive harder. Finally he’s moving too fast and try’s to whip it around to do another donut but instead his truck just does a lazy turn right into the huge AG tire of the monster ford truck just parked there not even running. New Ram trucks driver side door is smashed in now. Naturally, we’re all on the bank laughing our fawking asses off not believing what we just saw happen. Then, out of nowhere next to our crowd, some small fat chick comes out yelling her ass off at the driver and us bitching that it’s her husband and he just trashed their new truck they haven’t even made their first payment on. Well, we all gave her the reaction she didn’t want to see as we were all in the ground laughing so hard our sides were hurting. Yaknow a bunch of these on the bank :lmao: This short fat chick wearing shorts and cowboy boots works her way out to the truck were her husband is trying to get the door open. The big ford monster truck fired up and backed away from them.

Mud fest are insane entertainment but one thing that’s for sure if you go to one, you’ll miss a lot of stuff happening because the craziness is happening all over the whole mud fest area. We used to have several people out videoing along with just strangers donating video feeds that one of our off road club members would stitch together into a dvd movie.

I miss the local one as it was only around a 45 min drive from home. Only one I know of that’s going on in Missouri now that I hear about is bricks off road park which is near Arkansas I believe. I’ve never been to it and highly doubt I’ll ever go to it.

your own lawn, same here.

I know a guy that had a CDL and was drinking beer on his porch while playing music on his Harley, local police gave him a DUI. Super BS
That dude should’ve got a lawyer to fight that nonsense

There was one in the next town to mine years ago on private property. Some guy was drunk or over the limit and riding an ATV around. Apparently he crashed the ATV and the ambulance was called to collect him up and take him to the hospital. Somewhere along the lines, either at the property or hospital, this guy was arrested and charged with a DWI / DUI. The property owner didn’t call the popo on him, the popo did this on their own.

Back in the days of when I used to wheel, my club would go to Disney OK once or twice a year. Some of the crew would dig into the alcohol way too much on occasion and I’d step away and stay back at camp when those occasions happened. I warned them that they would get a DWI if caught out there driving like that. I’d get the “I don’t know what I’m talking about” from a couple of them. I never made an issue out of it, just say my words once and walk away. I’m not their parent but didn’t want to see things go bad either. Nothing ever happened on any trips I was on back then luckily for them but it is a reality that they could’ve brought home a DWI charge with them. I often wonder how many people get caught and charged with a DWI there during events like the big meat run?!? I’m sure it can happen at the KOH events too. It’s just not worth it at all on multiple levels in the end.

That’s what I see, people throwing things at him and he panicked to get out of there. He chose to drive over vehicles because he couldn’t see them or wanted to avoid hitting people standing on the side blocking his exit route. Find a good lawyer and I’m sure he could get out of it.

Pretty sure he was talking about living in a country where you can get a dui on a lawnmower in your front yard.

I went to one a couple years back. 3 days of absolute fucking choas. I saw people fucking in the middle of the road , broad daylight. There were a girl riding in the back of a jeep giving blowjobs for shots. There was a guy in the bed of an f150 giving free tattoos next to a dusty ass road. It was completely nuts.

I've been to RWP exactly once. Fuck all those people doing all that insane shit. I saw the craziest stuff of my life there, so this doesn't really faze me. We were out there the year before that kid got killed so that's been a few years. And I'm sure it's gotten crazier by now. Everybody is almost blackout drunk. They you've got little side by sides on the same trails as BGTL monster trucks. Titties everywhere, but nothing is safe. It's pure feral insanity. No desire these days.

"Let this"?

This shit has been going on since before I was a baby... it just wasn't on camera and immediately available to the entire country.
Pretty sure he is means "we let this" as the collective us, including past generations. Also, I believe, he is referring to the the left hand fork in the road that same have taken. Discussing the egregious drinking laws.

After reading about this I watched some videos last night from this years event, expecting it to be a bunch of young people partying. There was a lot of middle aged folk trying to relive their youth.

I could see it being a lot of fun when I was in my 20's, I have no desire to be around that level of retardation now.

I know a guy that happened to but had the radio in his car playing. Yep, complete BS.

Wow, sounds like I missed out on some real sophisticated entertainment.

I went to Madness in May at Byrd's Adventure Center exactly once. I'd been to Rocktoberfest plenty of times but had never been to a "mud" oriented event before, other than some drag racing.

It was eye opening, I know it's Arkansas and we have some hardcore Hillbillies and Rednecks, heck I grew up with several and have some redneck tendencies myself. That Madness in May event though, that was an experience. Alcohol lowering already barely existing inhibitions and fueled by group think mob mentality. I saw some things.

Pretty sure I saw a guy die. They had a mechanical bull over in front of the stage, girls ride free of course. This drunk guy climbed on top of the gazebo next to it to get a better look at the show. Guy on gazebo instantly became a target, bottles and cans flying through the air at him. Several made contact. Then a bottle smacked him in the head. I can still hear the sound. Drunk dude's lights were turned off instantly, fully limp, ~8' fall to the ground. He was too far away to see and no one near by cared in the slightest.

We watched a brawl in one of the mud pits. A couple drunk guys got in a yelling and insult match on either side of the pit. It wasn't long before they met each other in the pit. It was like a damn cartoon. I watched one guy literally kick the other in the ass so hard that his foot got stuck. Like hopping around on one leg with his other up the dude's ass. He had to use both hands to pull his foot away. I looked at my buddy to confirm I'd just really seen that, and his eyes were bugging out of his head in disbelief too. The noise the recipient of the "ass kicking" made upon impact is also scorched into my psyche.

I've been to plenty more events at Byrd's but that's the one and only Madness in May I've been to. I think it changed its name to Mudstock or another similar event took its place.
It moved to Hot Springs. The management at Byrds made it difficult for the organizer to make it make sense to continue. The vibe is very different at Hot Springs, it's a nice event. The way that is written would indicate the management singled out Madness to run them off, but that's not what's intended and it is not the case.

Quite possible they arrested him just to appease the crowd.

Been seeing videos in my feed, wondered what was going on.

There are many different angles of this and a couple of the jeeps he ran over.
Yeah, appease the crowd temporarily. Then they let everyone know who he is and kicked him loose. Cops never make any situation better.
