I guess that is what you would call it. I'll toss it out and be learned no doubt. My question is how do you think the cartridge was fired ?
A chambered round in a weapon like a Taurus semi-auto pistol would go down the tube at high speed. If not chambered, but simply in the stacked magazine, the MRI not only pulled the weapon from his waistband, but fired the weapon. It's CNN so details that might explain are not important. Alec Baldwin in to comment in a minute.

" A lawyer in Brazil died after his gun was discharged by an MRI scanner and shot him.

Leandro Mathias de Novaes had taken his mother to get an MRI at the Laboratorio Cura in São Paulo on January 18 when the freak accident took place, according to CNN Brasil.

The lawyer, 40, reportedly neglected to inform hospital staff about his concealed weapon, despite being instructed to remove all metal objects before entering the MRI room.

The magnetic field from the MRI scanner pulled the firearm from his waistband, causing it to fire and shoot him in the stomach.

He was taken to hospital, where he survived for several weeks before dying of his injuries on February 6.

The attorney was known for his pro-gun views, which he frequently shared on Instagram and TikTok.

A spokesperson for Laboratorio Cura said, according to The Telegraph: "We would like to emphasize that all accident prevention protocols were followed by the Cura team, as is customary in all units."

"Both the patient and his companion were properly instructed regarding the procedures for accessing the examination room and warned about the removal of any and all metallic objects."

The spokesman for the facility added that the lawyer and his mother had signed a form about the protocols but had failed to mention his gun and chose to enter the room "by his own decision."

Police confirmed that the firearm was properly registered and had a valid gun license, The Telegraph said.

A spokesman for the Order of Attorneys of Brazil in Cotia, São Paulo, said, per The Telegraph: "It is with deep regret that OAB Cotia communicates to all fellow lawyers the unexpected loss of our dear friend and lawyer Dr. Leandro Mathias de Novaes.

"We are sorry for the loss, and we sympathize with his family in this moment of pain."

I concur with Alec b here

Eta
I ain't read none of the clickbait stories
Ain't gunna either :flipoff2::flipoff2:

spinny magnets in an MRI, maybe it pulled the striker back and then the magnet continued around in the circle

Maybe it was a P320 or 1st gen PT111. Just the first two pistols recalled for negligent discharge that come to mind.

We still have an original "defective" PT111 Millennium Pro, even as much as I dislike Taurus, it's the pistol Jewels' dad gave her when she moved to grad school, she won't exchange it for sentimental reasons.

That's my EDC . The fucker is dead nuts reliable, eats anything I feed it and goes bang every single time. 🤷‍♀️ So I carry it.

Her's is picky about ammo. Only pistol I've ever seen not reliably feed 115 gr. white box, Winchester. Eats cheap Rem UMC just fine.

Maybe it had trigger work. Very hard to believe. Not just shot him, but fatally shot him. Wonder if there is any possibility a nurse didnt like him and it’s BS.

Definitely a case if play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
The magnets in an mri are damn powerful.
Good chance it was a Taurus as it was in Brazil.

Has Baldwin came in yet, To excuse the fact that the disclaimer question
" do you have any metal in/on your body?"
Was someone else's responsibility

It's a porcelain gun made in Germany. It doesn't show up on your airport X-ray machines here and it costs more than what you make in a month!
Ok youre being sarcastic because of all the stupid from the movie. Its hard to tell, because there are people who believe the g7 is real.

We dont' really know the model make of weapon. Thanks bullshit MSM. Say it's a typical semi auto, pick one, with a round chambered. The victim guy is, is where ? He is near the MRI but he is not the one getting one. So the machine whips on and starts sucking his gun out of his "waistband". Somehow: a. the trigger catches on anything in on or about his body and bang. The gun orientation could be in virtually direction, or; b, he grabs at the sucking weapon as it is moving towards Jupiter and he catches the trigger - bang.

A fatal shot that lead to his death weeks later. Maybe a liver hit, call House, MD

A while back, maybe it was the other place, a member here was shot with his own EDC when a friend jumped him in play play tackling. He lived.
