Morels?

I should start taking pictures of what I have growing out back. There's got to be a hundred different types of mushrooms. On the ground, on the trees. Everywhere.

I get huge Hen of the woods in the fall.

Im talking 2-3lbs heads. I like to leave the big heads go and pick the smaller tender ones to give away as they can get woody.

The big ones are good for frying though and they are great that way.

Wild mushrooms

My cousin gave me a handful the other day, they were delicious. I made a cream gravy to put on pork chops with them. My wife who hates mushrooms really liked them.

I was in the Creek Fire burn scar earlier in the week above Shaver Lake and Huntington Lake, but ran out of time before I could go looking. I really want to get out and find some.
